My 2022 2500 tradesman 4x4 arrived and i was happily surprised at a couple changes from the 2021 tradesman i test drove.
I drove a 2021 tradesman black cloth interior upgraded from vynil. Level 2 towing etc. And the a/b pillar and the beadliner were tannish grey. I was told thats how they were when black was ordered and excepted it. Now my 2022 came in. Same options. Black as night a/b pillars and headliner. Black everything. Its much much better. Anyone have a black headliner on a 2021 tradesman? Because i think its a major change.
#2.
The passenger side mirror had gotten some bad reviews on the 2021 model for being too zoomed in. I immediately noticed how hard it was to gauge lane changes to that side. With the 2022 both driver and passenger are the same non-zoom mirrors, its been changed! And its much more normal.

i dont know if the brakes werent bled right in the 2021 tradesman i test drove, with 30 miles on it, but they were spongy and felt non existent the first inch of pedal travel. The 2022 is firmer right at the top i can feel the brakes by barely hitting it with my big toe. And they get much better from there, no sponginess.
So thats what ive found. I do think RAM has listened to the complaints and made the minor changes without creating a fuss, as to not admit a mistake. Anyway im happy about the 2022 so far.
Has anyone else noticed hidden changes from 2019-2021 to 2022?

Curious about the mirror glass. I agree the passenger mirror main glass could benefit from a slightly convex glass (wider view, like most passenger cars) Vs the flat glass it comes with (it’s not magnified/concave like many claim, it’s flat).
So if indeed they put slightly convex glass on the main mirror I’d swap it into my truck!

It was the opposite. It was zoomed in ( narrower view, to see the way back of your possible trailer easier. But it just made it look lik every car was right up on your tailgate and didnt have room for lane change. People hated it.

have a 2021 2500 tradesman CC short bed, hemi...all black interior including side pillars and headliner(bought in April 2021 so maybe it was a mid year design change?),. want to say i read a while back that most tradesmans were supposed to be like that---to the point some of the higher trim guys who wanted "all" black couldn't get it on their trucks

Dunno. Its weird. Was definatley tanish gray on the one at the dealership. And its not like there is an option for headliner color. If you chose black seats, you got what you got on the cloth interiors. Sticker on it said black cloth 40/40/20...almost bought it.

I saw a sold order come in this week at my local dealer. White 2500 Laramie. Black seats and trim with tan headliner.

2020 was the last year for the tan pillars and headliners on the tradesman. 2021-2022 tradesmans have the same interiors- all black.

The tradesman tow mirror part numbers are the same from 2019-2022, so the glass wouldn’t be different.

Scroll to 5:45 in video. I noticed how zoomed in it was right away on the 21' i test drove too. Passenger mirror way zoomed, driver was normal. Very odd. However my 2022 driver and pass are the same. Both normal no noticeable zoom.

Honestly, I’m not seeing what everyone else is talking about when they refer to the passenger mirror being “zoomed in”. To me, what I see in the passenger mirror looks normal, and in perspective to what I expect to see out of that mirror. That was with the tow mirrors that came equipped on my 2017, the 2019 tow mirrors I swapped onto the 2017, and the 2021 mirrors I currently have installed.
Either way, this is the passenger side main glass part number for a heated tow mirror, and it’s used from 2019-2022.

Parts change at manufacturing level all the time. Im not 100% sure that it happened, but its possible. Even with the same part #. Are your passenger mirrors the same magnification as the driver side?
Im just sayin it was noticeably more magnified on the passenger mirror on the 2021. It was distracting like this guy points out in the video. I confirmed on my 2022 today, no difference in left to right. Not magnified... dunno.

Off topic but im usually loading cinder blocks etc. That step doesnt seem helpful or remotely safe when coming down with 50 lb blocks or bags.

I have no clue why people say the mirror is zoomed in my 19 mirrors are the same both sides no issues with any zoomed look… and the brakes could just be the truck you drove had an issue my 19 never had spongy brakes at all.

That has to be the dumbest video i have seen in a while the guy is absolutely clueless and is just telling bullcrap stories for views….

The passenger side mirror on my 2022 Tradesman is very zoomed in, its not very useful.

Was thinking the same thing. The only ones I have seen that magnify are the regular mirrors, not the tow ones.
Are the regular/non-tow mirrors not “wide” like regular car mirrors? I’ve never been in a Ram with the regular mirrors

Multiple people have seen the magnified ones. Ive seen both. There must be 2 different passenger glasses. Not sure how to prove this..yet..
