2022 auto folding mirrors

I was recently looking at settings, and under mirrors there was a new option:
Auto Folding Side Mirrors
Pressing the on button brought up this message "Auto Folding Side Mirrors Setting not saved, please try again."
Another screen said "When selected the side view mirrors will automatically fold and unfold."
Is this just a setting for newer trucks than a 2022?
Is this a new setting but they have not completed the coding to operate the mirrors?
 
Shouldn't be. My 2022 had it, it was a Limited LH though. Should be the same for Laramie either standard or with a Level upgrade package. Did your mirrors not previously fold when locking and unfold when starting?

My mirrors have not automatically folded or unfolded, and the option to have them fold and unfold just appeared as a option in the past month. I have used Alfoobd to check if there was a setting that needed changed, but didn't find anything. The settings for power folding mirrors where already set ON.
 
I thought someone posted that the HD 4.5 generation trucks can NOT automatically fold/unfold. They can only do by pressing the mirror fold button or manually.

That is what I understand, but since this update has added a option to select automatic fold/unfold, but since it doesn't work I was checking to see if anyone had figured out how to make it work.
 
Using alfaobd I found a setting: Cust.Set.Menu 2: Auto power folding mirrors CSM present. What is CSM?

Sounds like maybe they mistakenly rolled an OTA update back to older models that don't support the function. pre 23 door modules don't have the capability for auto-fold or auto window down.
 
Would replacing the door module with a 23 module make the mirrors auto fold/unfold?

Yes, my '24 Bighorn has the auto fold, but I did have to turn it on in the radio settings. My passenger one doesn't unfold 1 out of 30 times though, and it's a PIA. I have to manually hit the button a few times, until it unfolds.
