TSB I posted was from Jan 2023. As of this morning, according to the dealer that has our truck. There is now a STOP sale on all Aisin Diesels. They cannot sell them until the K1 clutch pack is replaced.
On a side note, stay up to date with what the dealer is doing. they are only replacing the K1 clutch packs. The TSB does not instruct them to flush the transmission, replace the filter, nothing. All they do is drop the trans, and replace the clutch pack through the tail shaft. They dont even drain the fluid, just replace what was lost. I told the service manager that was unacceptable. Her response, "tough ****" thats all the TSB requires and we loose money doing the warranty work.

I told her the TSB says to look for debris, she said, "we do when replacing the clutch pack".

I am unaware of a stop-sale for the 2022 Aisin equipped trucks. Did they provide any documentation of this to you?

It is my understanding that the only proactive strategy they have in place right now is the “RSU” or “Rapid Service Update” for the K1 snap ring failure. RSU number 23-065. From what was explained to me, the dealer is given the notice and then is responsible to cross reference their un-sold inventory VIN’s with the VIN’s uploaded to the DealerCONNECT network. They can enter a vin in the system and if the RSU is applicable to the truck, it will populate a red flag. At that point they can order the parts under the TSB and conduct the repair prior to selling the truck (and before it has a chance to fail). I’ll post some pics below of the details:

This should be a topic of discussion between a potential buyer and their salesperson. If you are in the market for a new leftover 2022 Aisin truck, you need to ask your dealer if the VIN was checked in DealerCONNECT to see if RSU 23-065 applies to the truck. If it did, was the repair process carried out and successful. If the answer is “yes”, then please provide documentation to affirm this. If the answer is “no”, then are they willing to do so? If they don’t want to play ball, find another dealer that will.
