I own a '22 Ram2500 with the 6.4L which has been perfect with one issue. Once each year, like clockwork and within weeks of the one year mark, the starter fails. If I replace the starter, all is good. Just put the 4th starter in the truck counting the one it came with. The truck is still under the extended warranty but the local Ram dealer service departments are so backed up I usually get offered an appt about two weeks out and I have to get to work each day so I end up paying for the repair myself.
I've read about the conductivity issue with the nut holding the power cable on and the heat issue due to the proximity to the exhaust pipes. Anybody had this issue and found a solution ?
I hate to sell an otherwise dependable truck but this annual failure is real irritating and it always happens in the dead of winter.
