2022 6.4 intermittent battery drain.

I'm dealing with the same problem... 2022. Dealership has had the truck going on three weeks now... they have no clue. Oh, and I finally got a rental today. They said I couldn't get one until they actually tore into it. I guess troubleshooting doesn't count as "broke "
Did you get your problem fixed ? My dealership has replaced the radio, they are now replacing the instrument cluster.

I'm having the exact same issues. 2019 6.4 gas. Mine goes into the dealer on Wed. If they figure it out, I'll post.

In talking with the guy at Advanced Auto, he said that he's seen a similar intermittant drain issue on other models, and they were all caused by a remote start issue. Not sure how much weight to put in that, but it would make sense that, since I assume it would always be active and looking for that keyfob signal...‍♂️
My truck does not have a remote start. They replaced the radio now they are replacing the instrument cluster. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm having the same/similar issue with my 2022 1500 Warlock. 4th time no start dead battery. Dealership twice. They said possibly the led cargo box light switch in the box was faulty so they're ordering a new one. They disconnected the lights fir now to see if it happens again. It did this morning. I remember remote starting on Monday after it had sat for 24hr to heat it up so I could clear the ice off then I shut it off using the remote. Went to start last night and it was completely dead again. The remote system searching sounds very likely as that's all I touched since it was last driven. Going to Dealership today to have them examine again. I'll update. Did you find a resolution for yours yet?

Update on my parasitic drain. Replaced the battery 3 times, Replaced battery cable, replaced the radio, replaced the instrument cluster, replaced the BCM. Problem still not fixed. Investigating Lemon Law attorneys. Asking if anyone has found a fix?

Dealer said it is probably a computer module not shutting down. Ok, well this intermittent problem is going to be very difficult to find just dropping the truck off. IMHO.
2021 Ram 3500 Laramie with 440v Alternator with similar issue. Days at Dealership service department identified and replaced an anti-brake controller. Still monitoring for a re-occurance.

What is BCM? Brake Control Module? Continuing to watch this thread.

Currently having same issue with my 2022 6.7. It has been at the dealership for 10 days this time. 6 weeks ago, they had it for over a week and told me both batteries were bad. The truck has 10K miles on it. They replaced both batteries and 6 weeks later, same thing. Will post if they find a solution.

A friend of mine had this issue. Drove the dealer crazy. It turned out one of the vent actuators wasn't stopping correctly causing some computer in the truck to stay on killing the batteries. It too was very intermittent.

Yep, my issue was the starter, not the electrical system.

Was your starter draining the battery?

My 2022 is doing this now and it's gotten progressively worse. I last drove my truck yesterday and this afternoon the battery could barely get the truck to start. I'm running a brand new Odyssey battery, too.

Any update on your problems?

Just picked my truck up. After 3 weeks they were able to locate the issue. Mine was the front HVAC module that was stuck and draining my batteries if I didn't drive it every few days. They replaced it so we'll see how it goes.

That's good to hear. Three weeks, though. Yikes! I'm going to do some rudimentary troubleshooting at home before I take mine in. Things like putting my Fluke meter between the battery's negative post and the ground lead and measuring current draw while I pull and replace fuses. Hopefully that helps zero in on the problem and expedites a solution from the dealership.

I attached the narrative from the invoice with part number. Hope this helps you!

I have a 2021 Ram 2500, 6.4 gas with this problem, an intermittent / parasitic drain on my battery. My dash lights also flash at times and when my battery dies the radio is on after I jump start it. I've had the truck into the dealer 4 times. Only 10k miles on the truck. Dealer replaced the battery, replaced the negative cable. I am including links to two videos I made. Anyone get this problem solved?

I have a 2022 Ram 6.4L and have the exact same issue. The truck has been with the dealer for a week now and they cannot figure it out. Truck has less than 11k miles and is about 14months at the time of posting this.
The battery has died a total of 4 times now and I cannot find a parasitic draw. I pulled all fuses and relays, with no success.

I have noticed my screen flicker like yours, don't know why. I am so fed up with this nonsense. I am about to just eat the cost and change out the f****g battery and alternator, and replace all fuses. This truck has been the most unreliable piece of junk I've ever owned.

Hi All,

So glad I found this forum. I have a 2022 Ram 6.4L and have the same issues. The truck battery seems to be completely dead after a few days of not starting.

I have done the following to try and diagnose:
1. Used amp meter to check for parasitic draw - no results
2. Took truck to dealer 3x times and no results
3. Pulled all fuses and relays, no results

After really racking my brain, I have come up with the following idea. The batttery always seems to be dead when I DONT lock the truck I live in the country and don't lock my truck at night and that seems to be the case when my truck doesn't start. When I go to the airport and park for 3-4 days, I lock the doors and the motor turns over every time.

I will do some research to fugure out where the module is and figure out how to test it.
