Yep, mine said that too, gonna call my dealer tomorrow and see. Also, dang man, 1% on the phone batt, living on the edge haha

Anyone get anything moving at their dealerships? Mine had no idea the recall had parts available and wanted to know where I found out. Needless to say they now need to research it and will get back to me next week. No big deal right? I’ve only been waiting 5 months and 2 weeks. 
I’m in Denver metro and have a couple options, Boulder Ram is closest to me, said they had parts and have a noon appointment on Tuesday next week. Said it’s a 2 hour job. Received word today around noon that my recall has been remedied. I’ll be hounding the dealership tomorrow for me to take it home. At this point, nothing should be stopping me.
I do believe that the dealership’s service department was not aware that they had parts arrive. Only a few hours after my call, my truck went into the service department and came out fixed.

So I just got back from the dealer. They are not changing anything, just removing the relay, glopping some silicone on the back and slapping it back on. Took about an hour (presumably to let the silicone setup). Service advisor said it’s a “temporary permanent” fix until FCA decides to start sending out actual parts, so I will most likely have to come back at some point but “should be good for now”

I have an appointment tomorrow. I was told parts are available. If they mean caulk I will just leave.

The dealer told me the fix is silicone behind the relay. He said there is a metal plate on the rear of the relay that did not get sealed from the factory. I did not see the rear of it and they repaired it. I figured if it is a moisture problem silicone could help. It's still disconnected at the battery because I don't trust it.
That’s really interesting you say that, because the service advisor at my dealership told me this was a temporary fix and I will definitely be getting a second recall notice at some point it the future and will need to come back. Was he misinformed?

First time poster here and hoping someone is still monitoring this thread. Looking for confrontation on exactly where the intake heater relay is located. My 2021 Ram 2500 6.7L caught fire today driving down the road and I’m pretty sure the relay was the cause. Fire started near the passenger side battery aft of the air intake filter. Circled what appears to be what’s left of the intake heater relay in the picture below. Fire burnt through the case of the battery and wheel well liner. Luckily a fire chief was a block away and got a fire extinguisher on it before it spread far. Truck was bought in June 2021 and showed no active recalls. Still waiting to hear back from Ram but not too happy that my 2 month old truck caught fire. Not sure what do next, at the moment I have no vehicle and best case I get back my truck with a record of fire damage… not great for what I paid for this truck. It’s still early but ram doesn’t seem to be bending over backwards to help me out. Thanks in advance for any help, forums like these are a life saver. Side note not a bad idea to have a fire extinguisher in all your vehicles, the couple water bottles I dumped on it didn’t do a thing. Learned my lesson and will be the first thing I put in any future truck.

It seems like the throwing a bunch of silicone on the backside of the relay is not the fix. As a community, what would be the repair to make this secure? Would a protective lining behind the relay work better than silicone? At this rate, FCA will not be issuing another recall to repair a recall anytime soon. We are getting closer to having cooler temperatures outside and that grid heater will be required.

What is the build date of your truck? Should be able to find the MO/YR on the sticker on the drivers door.

Truck is not in front of me at the moment and couldn’t find it off the VIN, will have to get back to you. Purchased it new June 5th, both ram and NHTSA website say 0 recalls. Assume the “fix” had been done.
