2021 shock tower change?

I was install fox 2.0 shocks with reservoirs and my shock/ coil towers have a small piece welded on that prevents the reservoir bracket from sitting flat on the tower. I could find any pictures online and the instructions showed a shock tower without this extra piece. I was able to still install the brackets but they don’t sit flat on the tower. Is this normal? Did ram make a change on the tower that thuren hasn’t accounted for yet?

my 2020 shock tower looks the same as yours.

Ended up braking a bolt because of the bracket not sitting flat. It’s annoying when you pay for a premium leveling kit and have to deal with dumb stuff like this.
