Great plan. LOLI’m thinking all of us Ontario future owners should meet up for a socially distanced coffee (as long as it meets requirements) and celebrate our new trucks.

If you ordered the hitch with the truck, did you have to put it together yourself or was it assembled when delivered? Ordered my with the Max Tow Package which included the 30K version. The hitch is well below the bed rails

That is exactly how it came in the truck, already assembled and installed. If you ordered the hitch with the truck, did you have to put it together yourself or was it assembled when delivered? Ordered my with the Max Tow Package which included the 30K version.

Great. That will save me some work. However I will check the torque on the bolts just in case. LOLThat is exactly how it came in the truck, already assembled and installed.
It is going to be heavy. Take the head off first and then the base. The base just requires the locking handles turned 90 degrees to disengage the base from the frame. Probably easiest for two people to remove the base. Eh. LOLI realize I’m high jacking this thread a little bit and (being Canadian) I apologize for it. How hard is it to remove the fifth wheel hitch? How heavy is it?

Super easy to remove, I’m guessing it’s around 225-250lbs, I had my wife give me a hand removing it, didn’t feel like getting the tractor out... took about 5 minutesI realize I’m high jacking this thread a little bit and (being Canadian) I apologize for it. The only Curt puck mount I can find for the A30 is for GM trucks. I suspect the M30 head is the same but the Ram puck mount is a Ram only piece. I just hope I never have to replace the puck mount. The heaviest hitch available for the Ram from Curt is 25K. If you want anything heavier you have to order the Mopar M30. I don't think A&W makes a 30K hitch as I was tempted to go with their 25K but I feel more comfortable pulling my heavy fiver with a 30K.My Curt A-25 puck mount is 169bs.
Head 50
Head Frame 35
Legs 74
Brace 9
The 20K Mopar (Q-20) shipping weight is listed as 6 lbs more than the A25.
Curt doesn't show a puck mount A-30 (Mopar 30K) but the full head/frame weight is within 2lbs of the A25 head.
The A25 hitch head is 50lbs. Since the Q-series head is quit different than the A-series, I don't know their weight but suspect it's . The Q-20 has a stamped steel head mount as opposed to the A-25/A-30 cast which are heavier.
I’ve got the Q24...(Curt)great hitch. Pull two pins and the head pulls out. The weights were fairly close if I remember correctly. I’ve got the tam adapter mount currently but waiting for the puck legs to be delivered. Puck legs of course are the same...looked it up a few weeks ago...but can’t remember the weight of the head. Very happy with it.My Curt A-25 puck mount is 169bs.

The A-series heads are super easy to remove. one large pin and it's out. Can't say for the Q-series heads.

Good to know the weight, I’m getting old.... things feel heavier than they used to...My Curt A-25 puck mount is 169bs.
