2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Just got plates for my 3500. Trouble is all I see are two big holes in the front bumper. Anyone know what I need to mount the plate to the front? Should I buy a plastic bracket? It looks like Mark Dodge added a plate bracket in back, so that's covered.

There is no back bracket, it screws into the bumper plastic. That's probably just MD advertising plate frame.

The front should have come with a molded bracket, dealers have to add them to orders where a front plate is required. Not all dealers will install said bracket.

If Mark Dodge orders all their trucks the same way, you might find a line item like "Delete Front License Plate Bracket" on your equipment listing which would explain why you don't have a bracket.

Thankfully where I live, the law was recently changed to allow vehicles which didn't come from the factory with front plate mounting accommodations to not be legally required to have one. So I bought plugs from a member here to fill those holes in the bumper.

Hi I'm new to this forum. I've been using this forum for useful information about my Ram truck order for the past few months and decided to register so I could contribute what I could for those who have just ordered or thinking of ordering. I ordered a 2022 Ram 3500 Longhorn with the diesel. I ordered the truck Wednesday September 1 2021 and was told 8-12 weeks by my dealer, though they said it would likely be 12 weeks right now. Using the tools provided by you guys (the build codes, build sheet and window sticker links) I've been tracking my order as best as possible. The dealer has not volunteered any info but when I reached out they were helpful. The truck was ordered September 1, and actually built last week, the week of November 1, and I could get my build sheet on Friday November 5. I was able to get the window sticker this past Sunday November 7 meaning it was in at least KZ-L status (passed all inspections, released and ready to ship). My dealer told me Monday November 8 that it had shipped and was on the train heading this way and would take 3 weeks to arrive at the dealer (located in Northeastern Ohio). It's just under an 1800 mile distance from Saltillo Mexico by car, no idea what train track distance is but for the sake of estimating I'm going to assume it's close. From what I've read the train averages about 100 miles a day so that would be 18 days. If that is accurate the truck should be arriving around Thursday November 25 Thanksgiving, but maybe with the holidays just after. If all of this holds true the truck will have took almost exactly 12 weeks just as the dealer predicted it would.

More details on the truck since I've read that some of these features could add to the time it takes to get the truck: 2022 Ram 3500 Diesel, single rear wheel, pearl white, Longhorn, no sunroof, bed liner, fixed chrome side steps, rear deployable bed step, safety package with stop assist and lane departure, adaptive steering, digital rearview mirror, 8" touch screen with nav, self leveling air bags in rear, engine block heater, 20" polished rims, 50 gallon tank, chrome tow hooks. If I didn't list the additional option I most likely didn't get it.

Hope this is helpful! I'll try to remember to give an update once I actually receive the truck.
Curious how it went? Did your truck arrive? I am being told 10-12 weeks after placing my order. Does this seem like something that will pan out or should I expect double that?

I got tired of ripping the license plate holder off the truck and replaced it with some plastic holders tapped into the holes in the bumper. Now, the plate will bend, but not come off.
The picture shows the screws going in from the wrong side, but they work perfectly.

Hi everyone, just joined the forum. Just wondering if anyone from Canada was still waiting on a truck order from last spring? I ordered a 2500 Limited w/6.7 on 04/15/21 and still have not received it. Talked to the dealer several times and still no serial number for it. Also, are ordered trucks price protected at the time of ordering? Thanks for any help!

Most guys from Canada that ordered in spring got their trucks anywhere from August to October... If you ordered in the spring and have not got it yet something or someone is messing you up bad. Thats getting on to a year, I would start kicking the dealers ass. I ordered my may 6 and got it Sept. 9 so just around 4 months and I thought mine was late.

If you ordered last April and still don't have a VIN, something isn't right.

Thanks for the reply. I was told in April when I put a deposit on it that I could expect it by July/August. When it didn't show up the dealer told me all the HD trucks they had on order were pushed to November. Around Christmas there still was no VIN for it. The dealer has always been a straight shooter. This is truck #9 we've purchased/ordered in the last 20 years from them and it's always been the same person in sales/management for these purchases so I don't think it's on their end. I know they've talked to the rep a few times and got bugger all for answers.

I ordered a 2500 Laramie with Hemi in St. Louis on January 10, 2022 and had the VIN a week later. I will be calling them again on the 24th for an update. They told me 12-14 weeks from order to delivery. We will see….
