2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

If memory serves, I got my VIN around the 12-14 week mark which was longer than the initial quoted full delivery time. 6 months to the day was my delivery time (around 27 weeks). I'd recommend following up with your dealer for an update, it's sad to say but we really have to hound them for updates
Got ahold of the the dealership and they said the truck is in “D1” status, and vin will be provided to them closer to delivery. They received a ram today that was ordered in January so they expect same wait time, roughly 20-24 weeks

If your truck is in D1 you should have a VIN I got mine before it went D1, you do get it before delivery you get the window sticker and the build sheet usually about the same time they will give you a delivery date You should have a VIN by now what your dealer is telling doesn,t sound right, go threw this thread and look at some of the signatures here or read and you will see, from what I have gathered there going to start building 22's in AUG and if you don,t have a VIN I don,t think they can build it without one

I just looked and there are folks in the US of course that already have VIN for 22s so I would assume your dealer isn,t being up front with you In my own opinion

I had the VIN within about 2 weeks, then nothing until a couple weeks ago. I was initially quoted 8-12 weeks, but I should expect up to 16. That was in February.

Yes exactly, looking through this thread, people are getting the vin first then going into d1. This is what’s not making sense to me, so I’m guessing the truck either is in d1 with a vin already and they are not disclosing it or it hasn’t even been put in d1 status and have the potential for the truck being a 2022 model. At this point, id rather the 2022 model as it’s looking like the truck will be coming in middle to late fall.

I don,t know when there going to start ordering 22s up here, you could go and push the issue with them and not the salesman but the GM and if its not a deal with you because the new incentives are no screaming deal you might want to cancel and change yours to a 22 , they might try to keep your deposit , I know guys that have done this and the dealer helped them and just put there truck into stock and there are guys on here that fleet canceled there orders or just changed them to a 22, if you don,t have a VIN I don,t see why they couldn,t do that

If you do have a VIN and get a 2021 you are price protected and receive any of the incentives you have. If it changes over to a 2022 you might
lose those. My truck was ordered Jan 28. FCA changed it over to a 2022 on June 15th. Then, apparently FCA had a big Fleet order canceled and on
July 2nd my order was changed back to a 2021 and I got a VIN. I was disappointed at first but am happy now because I could have lost about
$6250 of applied incentives.

Well, my 3500 is sitting in the rail yard at Petersburg, VA and has been for at least 2 weeks. Driver shortage according to my salesman. I didn't even bother to ask if it will be a 21 or 22.

If it's already been produced, it's a 2021. 2022 production is currently scheduled to start on 8/9. No 2022 trucks exist yet.

Glad to hear about the price protection, as I’m doing a trade in and then also incentives on top which will be over 10k, didn’t want to loose out on that!

If it has been a while since they appraised your trade in have them confirm you are still getting the same amount (or more). I pulled my trade in out and sold it privately because they tried to reduce the value on me due to the 6 month wait despite the fact I put less than 200 km on it since I was working from home and not using it

From what I,ve seen on here Kevo you got the longest wait 26 weeks ,I looked LOL , i thought I might beat ya but mine should be here week 25 , but that could change, You don,t get that trophy just yet.
I have the $6250 of MSRP incentive ( hoping it may change for the better Aug 3 according to RAM CA site) right now its 4250 I think, They gave me a price on my trade in and I gave it to them early, saved $600 on ins. because I didn,t need it and they sold it already for 10k more than they gave me, so I,m going to have some fun with these guys when my truck shows up, But ya trucks are worth more now and theres nothing on the lots, I don,t know who your dealer was but the sure yanked your chain, Hope your enjoying your new ride

Neither one of you are going to get the trophy. I am at week 26 tomorrow (ordered Jan 28th) and my truck is not even built yet.
Have a estimated shipping date of Aug. 2nd and I will be lucky if I see it by mid September. So I am thinking I am going to be about
33 weeks. Another forum member from Nova Scotia ordered a couple of weeks after me and has the same Aug. 2nd estimated shipping date.

ahh good call. I tried to get them to take my trade-in back in January but they wouldn't take it until my truck was delivered for some reason. I sold it for 5k more than they offered me so I am good either way. Hope it all works out for you, I can't imagine a dealer worse than the one I used lol. The whole thing was so bad that all the sales managers and GM left the building when I got there, the finance manager had to keep going to find them for signatures but they sure kept their distance from me when being there lol. Loving the truck though, just need to get rid of the PTSD the dealer caused ;)
