2021 Ram 2500 with Rambox question

Asked a dealer to build a truck for me and they came back and said if I wanted the RamBox (which I do) then they would need to change the bed to a 5'7 box.
"Be aware that the 6'4 box cannot have a ram box so that is what is missing from it. If the ram box is a must have we can create another build with a 5'7 box so you can have that option."
Is this something new for the 2021? Has anyone ordered a 2021 with the ramboxes?

Yes, I have built one on the ramtrucks site (2020 as the 2021 isn't available to configure yet) and I have built a 2021 on nadaguides site and neither mention the rambox has to be on a 5'7 bed. I didn't even know you COULD get a 5'7 bed on a 2500.

You sure he's building a 2500? There's no 5'7" box for HDs. He's probably building you a 1500. It should be a simple enough ask to have him send you a copy of the order sheet before placing it. That should tell you everything.

That is not true at all. I ordered a 2021 with 6'4" bed and a rambox on 9/30. Find a new dealer. However, you cannot order low volume colors with a rambox.

If he's saying you have to switch to a 5'7" bed, he's building you a 1500, not a 2500. There is no 5'7" bed for the 2500 and 3500, just 6'4" and 8'.

The ability to go multifunction is likely going to go with the new bed style (thus new body style). Going to need to wait for the cab refresh probably.

Yes, I went and verified with their build sheet and it has the 6'4 bed with RamBox. Apparently the sales person received incorrect info from the sales manager.

It was supposed to be MY 2022. Covid impacts supposedly delayed it but who knows at this point.
