They would have to certify the entirety of the vehicle can operate over the specs from the manufacturer. The axles are not all the same between 2500 and 3500, the 3500DRW uses a slightly larger axle. If you run a 14,000lb gvwr truck over 14,000lb with only adding airbags, you are going to be outside of safe according to the manufacturer. Also, I would LOVE to see any airbag manufacturer claiming that you can increase your vehicle's payload simply by adding airbags to the vehicle. And if your upfitter is changing the sticker and saying the GVWR increased by adding airbags, I think they are asking for a lawsuit. You are quick to guarantee 100% safety for stuff you can't really speak authoritatively about.
