Hello Fellow 2020 Ram Diesel 2500 owners, I am having trouble with my wiring from my truck to my 2019 newer Lance truck camper. Nothing wrong with camper as I took it off a previous working vehicle. I keep blowing fuse #29, the 20 amp cartridge fuse (Trailer tow Park) whatever that is? I am no beginner at this... I tapped my camper wires right behind the 7 way at the Ram truck bumper and tested voltage and double checked the lights. I start the truck everything checks out ... Left turn, Right turn, lights, Reverse light, good Ground, after about 5 to 10 minutes or so the camper lights go out and thus the fuse is blown, no issues with the truck lights. I called the Dealer previously and they referred me to a accessory shop, so I called them and they use a junction connector that piggybacks at the 7 way, then you connect the camper wires to it. Basically the same principal as I've accomplished. By the way those 20 amp cartridge fuses at the auto store are $5.00 each. Does anyone have any input. Thanks

What do you mean by camper lights? The running lights?

Fuse 29 (Trailer Tow Parking) is the trailer running lights.

I hope you're not trying to run anything inside the camper off the running lights. It almost sounds like you have the tail and 12V power legs reversed and your camper converter (assuming it has one) is drawing power from the running lights.

Are you 100% positive the camper running lights come on only with the headlights/truck running lights on?

The M-case fuses can be had on Amazon cheaply by the dozen as can a Curt Y-harness (5-pin flat link shown), which is cheaper than blowing fuses and less risky and doesn't damage the truck wiring.

Use the chicom fuses until you get it sorted out then use Littelfuse or Bussman. I would undo what you did and go to the Y-harness.

Thanks for taking the time to reply... leaving on a trip, trying to get sorted out. F29 the running lights fuse keeps blowing only after a few minutes not immediately. Definitely tapped into running lights at 7 way at bumper (11 o'clock position) and not the +12 volt (1 o'clock postion). Have a lance slid in truck camper proprietary harness that I am wiring up and no additional items in the camper. Yes i have ordered the y connector from etrailer.com. thanks for the excellent advice.

Hello, Here is another comment or question... My Lance camper is plug/receptacle is grounded to frame ground, should I ground it to the 7 way plug at bumper where I spliced my connections?, Thanks
