2020 Ram 2500 Front wheel Bearings

My truck has 48k miles on it and i'm being told I need to replace both front wheel bearings. $600 each with $300 for labor. This is a premature failure, yes???? I'm used to getting 150+ out of front bearings. Also, parts are backed ordered, must pay in advance before I can even get on the list. Anyone else having this issue?

Sounds shady where they want you to pay in advance to even get on the list. I would definitely find someone else to look at it.

If this is the stealership telling you this, then run , don't walk, as fast as you can away from them.

What was happening that anyone thought the wheel bearings were going out? Noise? roughness? grinding?

What was the truck in for?

what checks did they do to confirm part failure?

My 2020 Ram 2500 has about 67K miles on it. 95% of the time is just my "get to work" truck. I might have to check my bearings because I start to hear some noise coming from the front.
