So any update on this code? CEL code P0299?? I’ve read a few threads but haven’t found a definite answer. My 2020 2500 with 28k miles just threw this code. Seems to be running fine. Took it to the dealer and they updated ECM and reset transmission. Two days later code is back on again. Could it have to do with the recent recall on the CP4? Dealer said they can’t fix that because there isn’t a part yet. Getting frustrated as this is a fairly new truck. No modifications and always have used OEM filters. I’ve taken sensor out and cleaned it but it looked brand new to begin with. Any help or update would be great! Thanks guys

Just reviewing threads related to P0299 code since I just had a similar code on my 2019 2599 RAM (26K miles). Had a schedule dealer apt so asked them to check this code (note check engine light had come on and went off after running diagnostics, but found the code had came on / off several time.

So the dealer called and indicated the problem as due to the air filter (I had just installed) utilized glue strips at the bottom of the filter to separate the pleats. They referenced Case # S2018000007 Rev D. So the check engine light is cleared and now we'll see if the P0299 code reappears.

Replying for anyone else. I have a 21 2500 and been to the dealership 3 times for this issue. First they said there was an issue with the manifold and replaced the gasket and tightened it down, code came back a day later, they said the egr was stuck open and replaced that. A day later the light came back on and now they are swapping out the turbo.

Gyoung360 here... since my posting on this code, which the dealer cleared by replacing my NAPA air filter with "they're " official air filter, this code has not reappeared.
