2020 ordering?

Rich, I hadn't heard a word from dealer (they're closed due to virus) or RAM CARE - so I just called RAM Care (866) 726-4636 (instead of Chat as I had been doing), gave my VIN#, and the rep actually Cared about my issue. She said that a RAM Care rep had been trying to call me on 3/16 & 3/18 and couldn't get ahold of me (I have kept phone with me constantly - ever since I heard it was in Storage, but no call so ??) so gave up and opened a case for my VIN#.

The new rep confirmed that it was the Bed Step issue that has been holding the truck from shipping. She was amazed how well-versed I was on the issue (thanks to this forum). Ha Ha.

As soon as I gave them permission to remove the Bed Step from the sticker and accept the voucher, she changed my status to KZ and said I will be emailed the voucher this afternoon. I'm waiting for the sticker to appear now. Finally!!

Window sticker just showed for me today. For reference, my order was accepted 2/14. Some noted changes:
  • MSRP increased $100
  • Bed Utility Group renamed to Bed Convenience Group (no longer includes bed step) and price dropped $360
  • Level 2 Equipment group increased $100

Everything else remained the same.

I asked the ram care lady that yesterday, why they keep calling me asking about the step when I tel them every time, I don't want it, to ship the truck an get me my voucher. They keep saying were not sure why it's still in storage an I even asked if they could change status to kz an they said that's not possible. It's like no one over there has a clue. Thats why i keep trying to get there attention on this forum because i know they watch . RAM CARE ATTENTION: RICH NEEDS YOU

Do you know who you happened to talk with at ram care that changed your status

Just kidding of coarse but I feel like this deserves a grievance suit hahaha. Maybe that will get there attention, or just ignore me some more

They're going to have a hard time convincing me that I need to pay extra for these options outside of what my car buyers offer and purchase option contract states.

You don't have to, you just pay what you agreed upon, at least that's the commitment I got. IN WRITING

So are you saying the bed group dropped from
745
-360
=385 for bed convince group
Or did they list it as
+450 liner
+200 led lt
-360 bed step

And now I just heard that my truck is sitting at the dealer but they're not sure when I'll be able to get it due to "skeleton crew". :(

I guess I'm just a negative Nelly, An by all means i truly do hope I'm not right, but for them to say you can't get it do to a Skelaton crew that makes me think the worst an want to know what's been damaged that there trying to cover up. Again hope I'm wrong, ill try to think positive for yah, don't mean to make you worry. Hey at least they got it. I'd be picking up my sales man an driving him over there myself

Unfortunately my sales rep has been "temporarily laid off". He's reaching out to their management now.

The first way - no mention of a bed step. Different group name, different contents (no step), different price (-$360)

That definitely presents an interesting situation that I'm sure will be true for many of us here soon. Curious to know how they handle those logistics.

Just got off the horn with my sales man. An they contacted some higher ups about mine. They said yup it's still in JS status an the saltillo Mexico plant is working through some things but hopefully in the next 2 wks it will go out. Said at least it made it through production because then it would be totally stalled out. I point t blank came out an told em. This is B'S an I'm just about over it. So what your telling me is mines going to sit in storage for over a month, an other guys on my ram forum are going to get there's 2 wks before me when they got there orders in after us an from the same dang plant. Then I told him I don't buy for one second that someone at fca isn't covering up for something with my truck for it to sit there for more than a month an I'm not stupid, somebody knows something. Not a pretty conversation

I hope yours didn't end up in the body shop like they tried to do to mine. Instead Leo OK'd mine to ship before they got around to fixing it. Now I am still waiting for it'ts replacement to make it to me.

I'm pretty much assuming at this point, with the delay, it'll probably come damaged or damage that was tried to be fixed or not. I told them from the beginning I will not accept a vehicle that's not 100% factory with out any repairs, that if something was done after the fact to correct some sort of damage, they will have to start over from scratch or we will just part ways depending how they handle it. But i would not take a repaired truck. Thats why I'm really surprised they never tried to get any dp or hold money out of me

If you get a chance to see it when it first arrives, look it over for any stickers and Blue crayon markings before you accept it or dealer may remove them when it is being detailed for delivery.

Example: See Blue Crayon markings below that mine had.
