2020 longhorn 3500 ctd

It was only spot duty. We have an old Ferd flatdeck we used for hay but the battery died - got a new one today.
Ahhhh, good choice keeping the old ferd out to pasture

I hauled hay for decades and know what that stuff does to a finish coat. I cringe seeing that picture. We had bought a 96 ram duelly new and used it on the farm and the interior and exterior didn't take long to ruin. Now that Cummins kept on chugging and that thing was abused. You have Such a nice truck to be a farm truck. Got to say, I'm partial to the Laramie or limited trims. Limited just wasnt worth another 6k for me. Plus the limited didn't come in a sport pkg. never much cared for the longhorn western themed trim interior but thats why we all built our own dream machines. No matter what we built, it's ours, and we love them just as much as the next person loves theres
Super sorry to go off topic... but what does hay do to a finish? I'm quite curious.

Hay is abrasive. Over time it wears the clearcoat then the paint off to bare metal.

Update: now have just shy of 50,000kms on my Ram now. Still loving it - not one problem or hickup to date. Firestone destination m/t tires holding up well. Should get another season out of them. Getting around 15l/100km around town and mid 13l/100km on highway when empty at ~100km/hr. With camper around 18l/100km and when towing heavy-ish trailer with sidebyside etc in 4whldrv in snow last month mileage ramped up to 22l/100kms. My Ram is a big upgrade over my 2016 F350 6.7. Much better fuel economy, bigger tank, better lights better seats, the list goes on. No comparison and no looking back. Oh yeah, it has a really sexy grill too.20221006_070422.jpg20220911_134310.jpg20220910_174452.jpg
