For non-PW models it looks like 1” is the minimum lift Thuren offersThuren has a 1/2" lift front spring. You could do that and a set of fox shocks and have a lot better ride.

Yeah I realized after that the 1/2" is only for the 3500.For non-PW models it looks like 1” is the minimum lift Thuren offers
I did just find out the source of the rattling under the truck, and it was a missing nut on the rear sway bar end link. that has been fixed for now. I know I have looked under the truck trying to find it numerous times and just never saw it.
It absolutely was. And it irritates me that I didn't find it sooner. It must have felt good to find that! It would have drove me nuts.
Where did you find a Carli leveling kit for $1200??
www.cjcoffroad.com
to adjust it correctly the steering box needs to be on a bench. I have seen guys screw their steering boxes up by trying to adjust the screw while mounted on the truck. On the steering box there is an adjustment screw
No it does not its the same adjustment just like a trailer bearing tighten down till snug then back a 1/4 turn thats the proper procedureto adjust it correctly the steering box needs to be on a bench. People run those wheels with 35's just fine all the time, the problem is for your use you are defeating the purpose of going away from the 18's. I wanted as much rubber between the wheel and road as possible so I went with aev 17" rims with 35's and everything worked perfectly with no rubbing and a good ride. You are losing a lot of sidewall with a 20" wheel. So this is what I have spec'd out:
Thuren 2" Front Coils
Thuren 2.0 Resi Front Fox Shocks
Thuren Front Track bar
Thuren 1" Rear Coils
Thuren 2.0 Rear Fox Shocks
Thuren Rear Sway bar end links
I already have a Carli Sway bar with low miles on it from my last truck I will be re installing.
I am also looking at ditching the OEM tradesman chrome 18" wheels. I currently have 295 70 R18 Cooper st Maxx.
Thinking about switching to a 17" wheel and going to a 35x12.5 tire. I'm assuming the 17" will fit, since there's another tradesman on this job with the OEM 17x6 wheels. My current tires have about 31k miles, so I will be selling them to offset some of the cost there. Looks like the Thuren setup will run about $2200. Wheels and tires will run another $2400ish. I do, however, have a set of OEM Night Edition Laramie 20s in the garage I got for a screaming deal. I'm concerned about the rub though.
I used to work in the woods, and around 50% of my miles were off-road. Back then I had a F250, and had to replace shocks every 30k (they were Bilsteins). Get high quality greasable joints everywhere also. That will tighten up the slack.Well I ended up going a different route, and I ordered all the parts yesterday. I got the Bilstein level kit with the 2" springs and 5160 shocks and matching 5160 rears. I got a synergy adjustable track bar and new sway bar end links. Also got a Bilstein steering stabilizer. I'll have my steering looked at when I get home, and hopefully it won't be any major issue.
Bad-dum-tsssIt must have felt good to find that! It would have drove me nuts.
