Greetings,

I am negotiating to buy a 2020 Laramie 3500 from the factory. There just isn‘t what I want on the market. I can wait for the factory to open In fact, I can wait for more than year, but am excited to own my first Ram. I retire from the USMC with 31 years in 20 months. The wife and I are getting a toy hauler and Ram to hit the road for a couple years.
 
That is a great choice!
Even with factory restarting with reduced shifts, it shouldn't take too long for a factory order. My dealer said they were processed in higher priority than trucks that would just go sit on a dealer's lot. They are still processing by run batches but they do put them higher in those batches.

We are full timers and this is the truck for you. We had ours built from the factory. I wouldn't pick one off the lot when you can build exactly what you want with zero comprimise. We currently haul a 35ft fiver but are going to get the 48ft luxe toy hauler in about 18 months so we bought the big dog since the gvwr on the camper alone is 26,000. If you have any specific off topic questions , Hollar at me on ( where's rich) thread .
 
Welcome, and thanks for your service.

Make sure you sit down with the dealer and go through dealerconnect to review all the options available for your order. There are things not on the build and price web site like Aux trailer camera, etc.

Wow! Nice build. ours won’t be much different. I have been on the phone with three dealers today All said they have to wait until Monday to type in the order. I figure they cN all compete for my money. This is happening!

Not saying it should take this long, because it doesn't , but since I have lots of time on my hands, i wore them down over a 6 month period. If time is on your side, you should be able to get exactly what you want for a real fair price. I also started out with multiple dealers, then I played them against each other, got price quotes in email form, then id move on to another new dealer. If they want your buisness, they'll deal, if not, move on. You'll know when you've made the right deal

Same here. We are in no hurry. I have four dealers on the hook now. There is one texting me tonight. I am fortunate enough to have an employee control number as well. With this in my pocket and the dealer competition I am expecting a killer deal. I can be patient. Then on to getting the trailer - Grand Design Momentum, Toy Hauler.

That's the one we were first looking at. That 376th toy box with full living. They've got some nice equipment, definitely got to have the paint.
