2020 2500 Front Tow Hooks

Thanks for the tips. I think when everything gets here I will remove the bumper first. The lower replacement grill is on nationwide backorder (68384296AA), so I don’t know how long that will take to get here. Do the “hooks” go on the top or the bottom? And to remove the bumper do I need to remove the air dam first, and is that the 6” or so black plastic piece hanging down from the grill? I have a chrome bumper, does anyone know about how much that weighs? Thanks.

Just removed tow hooks from my '22 2500 to mount a bull bar - no removal of bumper or air dam needed on mine. Removed the 4x large bolts (24mm) and they slid right out - I got 3 with my breaker bar, but had to find a guy with an impact wrench for the last one.

The hooks are simple a 1/2 trained monkey can remove/install them with ease its the lower grill thats the issue due to the placement if the bolts as we have already determined

If you are removing the bumper you can leave the air dam on…. The hooks go inside the frame tubing which is directly behind the lower grill
 
It might be obvious after I remove the bumper, but which way do the 2 small hooks (bumps) on the larger tow hook face - up or down? Thanks.

The lower grille is something I have to replace due to some cracks/broken plastic, plus I'm adding sensors. Wouldn't this be infinitely easier by first removing the bumper? Especially since it's relatively simple to remove?

According to others yes it is easy enough to remove for ease of the lower grill bolts
