21,000 miles Engine wants to stumble around 1300-1500 rpm. Fuel filters changed about 10,000 and again at 20,000 any ideas?

How old are the fuel filters? What filters did you use?

Does it stumble in every gear at those rpms?

What brand of filters?

When did the stumbling start?

Took it to Dealer in Florida, they said they found an update and did it, supposed to affect shift points in tranny, and said it was fixed, it still "stumbles" right around 1300-1400 if you are just barely touching throttle to maintain 1300-1400 rpms, stepping down on throttle and it stops and runs fine, idels fine. updated fuel pump was done a year ago. Any help? Dealer said they never heard of it happening???

2021 Ram 2500 6.7 51kmiles. I have the same problem. Around 40 mph starts to almost cyclical stutter. Just slight throttle. I live in the Ozarks it's going up every small hill it stutters. I call it the stuttering idiot or chugging chief lol. Been doing it since I bought it brand new. Been in the shop a dozen times now. Has had a new transmission put in. It's at the dealership that's promising to get it fixed for me. No one knows what it is. I've driven the competition not a fan of either. I'd rather suffer with this truck than drive one of the others that's probably going to crap out. Just had a work 2020 f350 that had a 7k repair for emissions couple months ago at 60k miles.

FYI. Never has a CEL or any other real problems with this truck. It's been coast to coast top to bottom towing. Good truck we'll see if this dealership can solve the problem.

I’m gonna say it’s a non-issue unless you getting a CEL. The 6.7 runs through the gears so fast, a light foot on the throttle in a higher gear ratio, the engine will lug. Mine does it in that exact scenario. Just drive it like it’s meant to be driven.

I live in the Ozarks Mostly slow driving folks here. The speed limit is 35 to 55. Mountains and valleys. This is a real issue. The dealership service manager believes there may be something in the mill that may be slightly out of weight/balance. The other trucks on the lot have no such issues. Besides this poster I've never seen anyone else w this issue. Seems cyclical like dribbling a basketball but not exactly one after another bounce. 4(maybe this is what I'm picking up)bounces cyclical then space then bounces then space. Perfect cyclical. 4 sets of tires. 2 sets of rims new transmission/torque converter. Road force balancing every set. Does it towing not towing hot cold always slight pedal right when the incline starts.

Mine does this sometimes when it is cold driving in a 35MPH zone, to fix it I manually shift it down to keep the RPMS up near 1700-1800. I think it has something to do with TC lockup/unlocking due to the Trans fluid being cold.

Mine does it always. I've driven several testers at the dealership. None do this but mine. This is why the dealership has open cases with RAM (Stellantis) this issue is not OK. The truck stutters every time I drive it. They are honestly trying to resolve. They've put new transmission flashed computer road force balancing numerous times. I feel bad but I don't. It's got to get fixed. I love this truck. I've driven new 2500 Denali New AT4 whatever model is just below Denali 3500 Ford F250 gas and diesel F350 powerstroke that was the fastest by far. Wowza. But I didn't but this for off the line performance. Used to build race cars. I'll buy one of those if I want to race. The Ram seats are better. Visibility much better. All those other trucks bounce down the road much more stiff less planted. My Ram feels put together well and I get better mileage in this. Just want it fixed.

When I installed a Wix air filter in my truck it would stumble around the same RPM as you described but only while the truck was warming up. Once I went back to an OEM air filter the issue went away, are you running a OEM air filter? If so, when was it last changed?

I've had Mopar filters installed multiple times. Fleetguard 1x and a random autozone. The dealership has changed the air and fuel filters free 2x. Nothing changes the disposition

Bulletin: I can tell you this I put aftermarket air filter and seemed fine after a while, then I had stuttering around 1200-1600 rpms took to dealer they did a flash to update something transmission shift points, said they couldn't find codes or anything wrong with the truck. I just changed to an original equip air filter and guess what STUMBLE GONE runs like a champ now. Had to be the filter causing this problem.

Trucks been at the dealership for 5 weeks. The EGR cooler was leaking somehow inside (forgive me I don't totally understand how these work). I believe there is a TSB out for this issue. We'll see if this fixes it. I've had the original equipment filters both fuel and air 2x already. The dealership put them in without charging me for testing purposes. In my case I'm 100% it's not the filters.
