Yes that would be the Mopar part number.68447683AB
So you replaced it with one that was branded Cummins or you replaced it with the 68447683AB/mopar one? I saw pictures of 2, one from china and one from germany. If branded Cummins, where did you get it?Yes that would be the Mopar part number.
The one that was on mine originally was from the Czech Republic and only had the Cummins part number on it 2897332. The new one that I got from Geno’s was supposedly made in the USA and was part number 2897332NX. I changed it because the original one was showing a higher pressure reading than it should have. The sensor measures absolute barometric pressure and temperature. The absolute barometric pressure is used to determine elevation and air density along with temperature. So you replaced it with one that was branded Cummins or you replaced it with the 68447683AB/mopar one? The sensor measures in psi and the original one was reading 15.0 psi all of the time here at home. The new sensor has read down as low as 14.35 and as high as 14.65 psi but never to 15. Using the ScanGauge, I noticed with the truck not running but with the key on, the TBAP and the MAP sensor read exactly the same psi. So I wonder if the TBAP sensor calibrates the MAP sensor. It is working well but I haven’t taken it up to higher elevation yet to see how it works since I got the SG III.
Wonder if that has anything to do with the DPF gauge loading quicker in warm months vs cold months? Gonna look and see which one is in my truck when I get home. The one that was on mine originally was from the Czech Republic and only had the Cummins part number on it 2897332. I don’t know but my DPF gauge rarely moves at all now.Wonder if that has anything to do with the DPF gauge loading quicker in warm months vs cold months? Gonna look and see which one is in my truck when I get home.
I would think that it would as it also measures in coming air temperature as well as pressure. It’s worth checking if you have the ability to see if it is showing the elevation correctly. My original sensor showed that it was at 500 feet below sea level and Im at 200 feet above. But it may have been a combination of the two things that the sensor checks. I’m anxious about our next trip to SLC and to get higher in altitude to see if it runs any better than it did before. Before I changed the sensor, in higher altitude around 6000 ft, it was kinda antsy feeling.Wonder if that has anything to do with the DPF gauge loading quicker in warm months vs cold months? Well as you know, it’s been very warm here lately with very high humidity and a high pressure system in place. I’m 23 hours since the last regen with 1145 miles and zero on the DPF EVIC gauge. I did have 420 miles towing this interval (385 miles after regen). I’m going to drop back on the percentage of 6500 and see if it continues. If it does, I’m going to discontinue the 6500 and just run the 6400 every 5000 miles. The recent towing trip is the first towing I’ve done since replacing the sensor. Have another much longer trip coming up the end of August.Wonder if that has anything to do with the DPF gauge loading quicker in warm months vs cold months? That is exactly what happened. The short block was replaced and now 11 months later, the truck is still at the dealer with a no start condition.Be sure that they check the lifter bores. Another member on here had lifter problems and they had to change the block also.
I was just curious if your vehicle is under warranty? My dealer told me that NO aftermarket equipment can be added to the "intake system, or the exhaust system". They inferred it is against the law by doing so? You may have a great dealer that will work with you but mine... NO WAY! I have heard great things about the Banks kits. I know Daves Auto swears by them.If your truck has 1,000 miles or more on it since you’ve installed the banks kit, it’s had regenerations. You’re just not having them every 150-200 miles anymore which is good.
Ask for them to show you where it says that in the warranty agreement.I was just curious if your vehicle is under warranty? It all depends on the dealership. I thought I had found a good one but my last experience with them was anything but. I stopped by to get them to look at the truck and make an appointment to have it set up to get fixed. They took pictures of all 4 sides of the truck, pictures of the hours and mileage and scanned the truck for trying to warranty a door hinge. They also took pictures of the hinge and sent them to whoever in corporate. This was on a Thursday. They called and wanted to see it at the collision center Friday so I carried it back and their head shop guy said it needed a hinge and he would further the information to the correct person to get it ordered. Monday I got a call from the dealer that corporate had DENIED the warranty claim saying “from the pictures, the hinge appears to have been abused”. There is nothing bent on the hinge or any paint missing and the only thing on the hinge is white lithium grease. I called customer care and they couldn’t tell me anything about it and the dealer wouldn’t give me any case number or anything pertaining to the denial. I emailed ramcares and they said I needed to work it out with the dealership. The point is they knew I wouldn’t get a lawyer to make them replace a part that I can order for less than $100. But I might take out a full page newspaper add and tell the locality how shi___ their warranty is.Ask for them to show you where it says that in the warranty agreement.
I’d be curious if they are referencing any language there at all.
Most like not, but that Banks set up is really well engineered. I see they got rid of the CGI block and the grid heater... FINALLY! I have heard rumors that the DEF system may be going away on the 2027. I think I heard there may be a 7.2 Liter engine?Ask for them to show you where it says that in the warranty agreement.

I have a hinge on the driver side that groans every time you open the door. Since it was new. Took it to them and they pained it with white lithium... LOL Unbelievable. From what I can tell, if they find ANYTHING on your truck, like after market intakes, exhausts, they can VOID your entire warranty.. Not just on those components but the whole warranty. And RAM customer care is useless. Call India and they say, we will investigate and call you back within 24 hours. Never happens... LOL Try calling Auburn hills and you get routed right to India....
