My 2019 Ram 3500 Dually has been in 3 times or more and the belt was one of the issues. the last time the dealer said it was normal and live with it. the time before they say they did not here it but i drove it home an it was apparently there. i then took back again they said bring back after 1st of year and i did. this time they here it but say there is nothing they can do that Ram will not address the issue. they said there are bulletin's on it but Ram will not pay to replace belt and even if they did sometimes that made it worse. How do you say live with it on a $55K truck!!!!!!! You can run a wire brush on it and quiet it down but does not last very long, may be doing it again a hour later. I am really upset with this and want it fixed. Tech said that some had put a new belt on and it was worse, some put a 2018 belt on and it was better. either way Ram will not warranty the belt or service to replace. I am ready to file a complaint over this.

Mine nvr went in bc of the horror stories and everyone saying there is no fix so not worth wasting my time

Here is one option: Put some dielectric grease on the ribbed side of the belt. Just a small blob about the size of a quarter. Start the truck and let it run for about 30 seconds then shut it down and let it sit overnight. My belt hasn’t made a single sound since I did this over 3000 miles ago.

The temps dropped here below 40 degrees at night and my truck has made the same exact noise twice when starting up cold after sitting overnight. I will get video and take in it to the dealer.

Ah. Anyone else have the same noise and figure it out? Seems like everyone just lives with it.
