The “Off Road” designation, what is the difference than a 4X4? I bought a2016 Tacoma 4X4 off-road and it had a rear locker and the crawl mode. BTW, that truck and my 07 3500 C&C was traded in for the 2019 CTD. I was just wondering what the off road signified?
I did that when I ordered my 07 C&C. I learned a lesson on that, Manufactures have the right to change options and eliminate options. They changed the floor level system, which I had to order the premium seating package to get it. When the truck arrived it was missing and was told it was eliminated during production, the dealer or factory reps would not budge on it. I was told I could always order it through the parts dept., Ya right, at $1200.00 for it. I found it on line for $150 through a individual that installed base modules and couldn't use it anymore. I was never compensated, and was stuck with the premium seating cost. The other negative is the art of the deal, they may give you a discount, but their not motivated enough to give you the best price possible, also a mistake I made. However I needed the C&C, and no-one had a C&C in a SLT or Laramie, especialy the options I was looking for. So unless its a piticular truck you need, buy what's close or more than what you want in your truck and get the best price possible. Dealers will deal on their inventory better than orders.I’m going to order my next one specifically to my taste after reading all the posts on here by others who’ve done it and had a good experience. This one is pretty close to what I would custom order. The only thing this one doesn’t have is the auto level rear suspension. I had it on the previous 2500 and on all the 1500 Longhorns. It’s the way to go and well worth the money to me.
Awesome truck. I am looking at almost the same setup as you. Do you wish you had the 4.10 gear ratio on it? How is the 12" display for you. Thanks for any input. Thanks for having interest in my truck, I love it. I also own a little brother twin 1500 Longhorn my wife now drives. I’ve owned 1 diesel and several Hemi’s. I liked my 2017 2500 Limited with the Cummins but it had a lot of serious engine issues early in the ownership experience. I also didn’t like having to change fuel filters at every oil change both of which were expensive, and also burning DEF. In my area seems like there’s a problem with people overfilling and spilling diesel on the ground and pump handle. It made for a challenge to fill up without getting diesel on my hands, clothes, shoes and in the cab. I hope the 6.4 Hemi gas motor will perform to my expectations. I’ve towed with both and so far I prefer the Hemi given all the reasons I mentioned. It’s very close with capability, in fact it has more cargo capacity by 1030 lbs and is within 2900 lbs of tow capacity.
I pasted the window sticker columns below that shows the standard and optional equipment. One of the best things about this one is no moon roof. I don’t ever use it and hate that I pay for something I don’t use. Happy Sunday and I hope you and your families stay safe & healthy.
