2019 2500 Extra Key FOBs

I have OBD+ and AlphaOBD that worked great at programming keys and so much more for my 2016 ram 1500. Wondering if the 2019 uses a new security system that Alphaobd can work with, or if I can continue to use this setup.

Jscan can do the fobs you need the security bypass cable though for the 18+ trucks

You will need JScan and a security bypass cable for the 19+ trucks to program FOB. You can use AlfaOBD (and the bypass cable) for most everything else.

Here is the what is needed to use it on 2019 and newer HD Rams:

1. The JScan Android app from google play store, or the iOS app from the App Store
2. A Bluetooth interface such as OBDLink MX+ or OBDLink LX (cheaper than the MX+ if you don't need iOS support or use on Ford or GM (MX+ comes with a choice))
   • or vgate vLinker MC or MC+ works as well as the OBDLink and is half the cost.
3. And a bypass harness to bypass the security gateway module so changes can be made:

Dang I read somewhere that the paid AlphaOBD could pull the code...or that Jscan pulled the code and alpha programs the fob. So much conflicting info out there I had to ask. I have 2 fobs coming since the truck only came with one. Guess Ill need to invest in Jscan and a cable....

You'd have to pull the dash to use that. NOT recommended.

I see the cables are setup for permanent install. Not sure Id keep it it. Make the changes I want and program the keys then take it out. Just dont see a reason to keep it in unless you plan to change alot of settings with alpha or scan.

Either way thanks for the help, looking to grab a cable and setup a jscan license here today.
