Hey everyone. This is my 2016 PW Laramie. Black Forest Green Pearl with 210k miles. I've had it for over 2 years now (bought with 180k mi) and it doesn't come without its faults, but still my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. Mainly used as my daily driver/occasional weekend warrior. I live in Indiana so there's not a lot of places close by to offroad here, but when we go, we REALLY go. Even though those trips push my abilities as a driver, the truck takes it like its absolutely nothing. And when we get stuck, getting out is only a problem if there's no trees to attach the winch to. But that's what friends are for.

Even as a daily driver, for what it is, its a fantastic truck. I would say gas mileage and fuel tank capacity are my biggest complaints, along with some vibrations at highway speeds, but its comfortable on long road trips and responsive when you need it, and obviously very capable in the snow.

I'll put my mod list/to-do list in the next post. Thanks for reading :)

What is your blower motor relocation about and for?

How do you like the Apex ball joints and the EMF steering shaft bushings?

I've had one of the most difficult times with my blower motor (and climate control in general, but that's a story for another day). I went on a trip down to Daniel Boone National Forest in KY to do some off-roading, and I noticed that every time I went over a largeish bump, the blower motor would shut off or turn back on (along with a couple unrelated issues which were found and fixed). Just my luck, the blower motor didn't work the whole way back from KY, luckily the weather was decent.

Anyway, I try to diagnose this myself, so I throw a new blower motor, resistor, and control box at it with no luck. I still haven't fully figured this one out, but my short term fix has been to make a blower motor 'relocation' kit. AKA run my own wires through a switch on a relay to power the blower motor. The blower motor is still in its factory location, but I've lost the ability to control the fan speed, it's either on or off for now. I don't have a garage so I'm waiting for it to warm up here in IN to tackle this. I'll make another post about this in more detail when I get it figured out.

The APEX ball joints have been on for 20k of the 30k miles I've driven. No complaints, greased them every 10k or after a water crossing.

Before I installed the steering shaft bushings, the play in the steering was manageable, but still annoying. After installing, I noticed about a 50% reduction in steering play. I wish I got a video of the steering shaft before I installed the bushings, I honestly can't believe RAM would design a steering shaft that way. 100% recommend to all HD RAM owners, not just the ones dealing with steering play.
