2 3/4" to 2" hitch adapter included on 2023 trucks?

And here I am with the supplied adapter that I’ll never use. I just bought a new hitch that fits as I’d rather not use an adapter :)
Totally agree with buying the right sized hitch but it does irk not having the sleeve when you just want a quick hitch with your current 2" crap, mostly like farm only trailer, tractor accessories etc.

Or a uhaul utility trailer with a 2 inch ball. I have several 2 inch receivers that rarely get used, and I don’t want to drop the cash on b&w adjustable drawbar for something I use very rarely. I did get a new 2.5 drawbar for the weight distribution hitch I tow with every month.

I’m picking up a new leftover 2022 tradesman 2500 hopefully today. I test drove it last week and brought it home to try pulling my trailer with, and it had the adapter sleeve under the rear seat.

Hi all,

Recently took delivery of a 2023 2500. I did not receive the 2 3/4" to 2" hitch adapter (PN 68165918AA). I read some earlier threads that the adapter was included with 2022 trucks. Is there anyone with a 2023 that received the adapter?
Thanks,

No, they have stopped providing them -

I hot one with my 2020, but lost it shortly after. They are pretty cheap on Amazon.

My 2020 didn't have it on delivery. I told the salesman it is supposed to be there so he got me one. I like the Mopar version as the lip stops it in perfect position for the pin. I only use it when moving the trailer around the yard as I went to a 2.5" shank for my e4 WD hitch.

I thought I was being pretty slick by keeping the sleeve from my F350 trade in - Ram outslicked me though, by selling me a truck without a sleeve. :D

My 2023 did not, though I still have the one that came with my 2018. I have a B&W Hitch so I've never needed it.

Well are the dealers taking them out?

Can RAM answer if they come with them from the factory? @RamCares

Your dealer isn’t stealing them. They stopped putting them in. Just look at your build sheet.

Just look at your build sheet.

Unless it’s something funky on the build sheet I don’t have it listed on my 22, nor was it on my 18, yet both had them when purchased.

I’d swear it was on my 2020’s build sheet, but I just went looking and you’re right, it’s not.

Either way, the 23’s definitely don’t come with one. My dealer even commented on it and gave me an extra one they had sitting around.
