Can't seem to find a lot of info or videos on upgrading various interior parts for the 2500, but there are tons of content for the 1500. My question is can parts from a 1500 work on a 2500 interior wise? More specifically, can I take a radio, aux switches, etc. from a 1500 and shove it in a 2500, or I'm I going to have some problems with geometry somewhere?

I’ve got a 5th gen 2500. Do 5th gen parts from a 1500 from the interior work on the 2500?
There is no 5th gen 2500-5500 you have a 4.5 gen and no the 1500 parts do not work they are not electronically the same. They may fit but they wont function

All the dash parts, and the upper center console parts are interchangeable between 1500 and 2500. So, the center dash that houses the radio screen/aux switches are interchangeable.
Aux switches work on both, and 2019-2021 radios work on both within those years.
As far as 2022+ UConnect 5 radios, some have said that the 1500 radio modules don’t work on 2500, and some say they have gotten them to work.
All of the 12” and 8.4” with nav screen “generally” are interchangeable:
If the truck is Cummins equipped, there is no such thing as a lower switch bank that has the traction control button AND the exhaust brake button, the traction control button is either on top of the 12” screen, or on the 8.4” screen radio bezel. Since 1500’s don’t have 12” screens or 8.4 radio bezels with the traction control button, they wouldn’t be suitable for a Cummins equipped truck.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it

the main connector on the 8.4 inch screen in a 22 1500 is bigger then the main connector of a 8.4 radio in a 21 2500. found this out yesterday.

That’s a difference that carries through between all Ram trucks 2019-2021, and 2022+.
2019-2021 UC4 radios use one single large main radio connector, and 2022+ UC5 radios use two smaller (blue and green) main radio connectors- hence the need for a set of conversion cables to swap a UC5 radio into a UC4 radio equipped truck.

But anyway, all of the radio connectors are the same for 2022+ 1500, 2500, 3500 trucks, and all of the radio connectors are the same for 2019-2021 1500, 2500, 3500 trucks.

Jimmy, what would I need to put a non-Nav 8.4” out of a 2024 2500 diesel into a 2021 non-Nav 5” 2500 gas?

Heck yea, there's tons of 1500's around me with radios, but no 2500's. Im tired of this tiny little screen.

There's a 2020 1500 near me that the guy's parting out, so this information will be invaluable. I might just have to see if I can stay there for the day and take things apart to compare with mine and see what I can swap haha

IIRC from my research, I believe the rearview mirrors are the same too. And the rear window, sliding rear window motor, and overhead console. Just read a thread about the front seats working, but not all will.

Maybe cameras?

Anyone know if there's other things that are interchangeable between the 1500s and the HDs?

Any update on this? I’m in the middle of this exact situation and I can’t get my screen to come on. Seems like everything else works. Any info appreciated!
