Hello all, after a while of owning my 24 big horn I decided I wanted to get a full center console. However I am cheap. I decided to roll the dice and try a 1500 console as I couldn’t find a clear answer on the internet on if it had been done.

Well it fits, as we know the floor is slightly different so there all small gaps near the foot wells but with weather techs in you can’t even see it.

I was able to bolt the front up using a 2500 front console breaket without issue. I am unsure on the rear as they appear to be on National back order.

As far as electrical the 2500 and 1500 use the same connector but the pin out if different. I simply ordered a wiring harness for a 2500 console and will swap the console side to match the truck. I haven’t done this as the harness is about 3 weeks out. But I thought it would share some pictures of the fitment anyways. Once my rear bracket and harness show up I will do a full write up with part numbers.

So far the 1500 console was 300 bucks, wiring harness was about 100. Then about 120 for the front bracket and dash close out strips. This should be about half of what a 2500 console goes for.

Here is a picture with the floor mats in. ALS don’t mine the switch panel and plow switch wiring. They still need to tucked away.

Nice job mate!

The little gap at the bottom doesn’t look bad at all, especially once you put the mats in. Awesome to hear that, other than that, the console fits.

Can you elaborate a bit more on the wiring situation? So right now you don’t have anything on the console working?

What year/trim/features does the donor console come from? And what year/trim/features is your truck?

Appreciate it.

Right now nothing is plugged in as the “h” style connector has a totally different pin out on the console as compared to the truck side. I have ordered a factory wiring harness from a 2500 the console and will swap that out. Will it work? I’m not sure but I don’t see why it wouldn’t. I will report back in the wiring once I get the harness but it sounds like it may be a few weeks before it is shipped.

Donor console was from a 2019 ram 1500 bighorn with the last 8 of the vin zy28819

My truck is a 24 level 2 bighorn horn.

Hope it works out for you!
I’ll be curious to see the follow up; I just got a full console installed on my 2019 Power Wagon, everything works EXCEPT the rear USBs and the wireless charger.

Did the hvac ducting line up?
