My 22 2500hd does this.
All intermittently a squeak/whine from r to d.
Also more bothersome it will occasionally feel like it is slipping in first. It also sounds like it’s reving when it is not. Completely different sound than normal 1000-1500 rpm held with no increase of speed or shift until I make it shift by hitting the throttle Or slowing.
It is a r68 6speed behind a 6.7 diesel with now 10700miles.
I have no idea if this is normal!!!???

Really kinda didn’t think so. So far hasn’t done it at the dealer yet. They did do a trans update and said maybe that will help. Still learning again. But actually seem like it’s getting worse.
Can’t check the fluid!!?? Frustrating

2022 2500HD. Mine also will squeak when going from Reverse to Drive especially if I hit the throttle too soon. If I give it a second to get into drive then it doesnt do it. By the way, I have 19K miles on it, this has happened ever since new but has not gotten worse so I havent been too concerned about it. The other thing that does annoy me is this. At first I thought the engine was surging coming off idle, but I have decided it is something in the drive train. When easing along at parking lot speeds, about 700-800 rpms, especially on level or maybe just a little down hill, when you let off the throttle it will fall back to idle, even though your speedl remains the same. then when you step on it again the engine jumps several hundred rpms like it it catching up to the speed of the truck. It has also done this since new. Dont know if I described this properly but its as if the truck is freewheeling when i let of the throttle. What could cause this? would it be the torque converter? Dealer has had a hard time getting it to do it but at least they are interested in finding out what it is. Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks, Ron
