What’s everyone doing to disable their MDS?

I also have a '21 with about 80,000 miles on it. I used to turn MDS off every drive with the gear limiter, but after a bunch of research I no longer do so. Apparently the MDS lifters get the most oil during MDS. Reignited on youtube has several good videos of it, I would send links to the...

    Powerwagon with Cummins

I understand the need for satisfying a wider variety of consumer needs. What bothers me is that they are using the "prestige" (if you will) behind the Power Wagon name to sell something that's not a Power Wagon. It's a great idea, a good group of options they probably should've just added to the...

    Lets see those power wagons

I disagree... and yes, that is a 100% bias opinion because I have and love the vertical bars on my 75th The throwback look is so cool to me. That being said, Overland_atl 's truck looks so good, the colour matched emblem up front is super nice. Very well put together. Ps I don't hate that...

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

The road I take to work is pretty bad but I suppose not worth an extra $800. The reservoirs have a significant cool factor though, much like the snorkel from AEV I want, and I will NEVER need to use the snorkel hahaha much less get anywhere near where the factory intake is.

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

That's really cool you have the opportunity to work with a company like that. That would be really cool data to look over. To see how the natural world affects something many people take for granted under extreme performance circumstances would be really sweet! I've got a good on-board air set...

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

You're right it does word it that way, not the way I had said it previously, thanks for the correction. As I was saying to crusty, the language I found in the tables from Toyo seem to point to the tires ability to carry a certain weight at a certain pressure, not necessarily a recommended...

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

So first off, thank you for pointing the tables out to me, I had no idea they existed. It's very useful information to have with carrying different loads for trips vs daily driving. How I read the tables is that that's the amount of weight the tire can handle at that pressure and not that that's...

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

I'm guessing I have 500-600 lbs in the rear at all times with heavy cap, drawers, and edc tools/recovery gear. About half of my camp kitchen is in there all the time to make coffee while river fishing in the fall. The tire is what recommends 50 cold, which the tire guy brought to my attention...

2019 Power Wagon suspension has become “floaty”

Hopefully you've fixed this issue but thought I would add something that I learned from a good local tire shop. Run your tires with the max cold tire pressures printed on the tires. Our trucks say 65 PSI on them because they were engineered with 33" tires. I run Toyo Open Country M/T's in...

    470 HP 6.4 L hemi

The BGE also has a forged crankshaft, a lovely gift from the factory. Both 392s, the Apache (passenger car or SRT) and our BGE find their power limitations at the pistons and rods, where both setups max out around the 650hp mark. Hotrod.com has a 392 build article I found interesting as I am...

Great! Thanks for replying the fix.

    Reverse dragging feel

I feel this too sometimes backing into my driveway. I always have the wheels turned some so I just chalked it up to my 37" mud tires protesting the slow turn in reverse but maybe its an alignment issue? I have about 70,000 miles on mine, may be time for an adjustment. I have put it in 4LOW a...

    Lets see those power wagons

As long as I don’t break my fly rod by closing it in the tailgate this year, if I do that again I’m just gonna have to get a setup that deletes the tailgate

    Spark plugs 6.4 ram 2500 2019

I replaced mine with Champion Iridiums, which are same as factory and I've read on here that the Hemis loves them. I am typically an NGK guy as well but am happy with the Champions. The truck had 60,000 miles on it when I changed them and I think I could've done them even sooner. If you...

    Avoiding Hemi tick?

Idle is supposedly the Hemis weakness, however the ones affected the most are Police and service vehicles where the idle times are sometimes double the drive time. That being said the should mean there is a crapload of wiggle room. Idling for charging here and there is fine. If you're worried...

87 octane vs 89 octane, fuel economy differences

Speed makes the bigger difference with these trucks, so does head wind haha Its not the most aerodynamic piece of machinery in the world, although its length can help. I have a cap on my 21 PW 75th with 37s, and the daily mileage didn't suffer at all but highway mileage took a small hit because...

Update on Cold start up cold climate noise

Mine sounds like its 100 yrs old once its colder than 32F. Melling performance has a high volume oil pump available that does better than the hellcat oil pump even. From watching videos from an ex FCA tech explaining how the MDS system works, the lifters seem to have a better chance of getting...

    2019 spark plug change

That bracket has to come completely off. Cant remember the size of the bolts, but once its unbolted you have to turn it just the right way to get it out. Either way your hands will look like you've been play fighting with a kitten all afternoon.
