    Before ordering... Anti-spin worth it?

I believe someone said it's behind the starter. there may be a heat shield blocking the view though.

    Before ordering... Anti-spin worth it?

Does the LSD lock in 4low? I had to go up an unplowed driveway this am and started spinning and getting wheel hop in 4 high. I put it in 4low and she still had a bit of hop. I backed off the gas and she walked right up through the deep snow. I ordered a rear wheel hop kit today ( 2024 Bighorn...

    Oil Thread - 6.4 Hemi

As long as everyone is throwing their two cents in, I use ChampXL filters which are 99% efficient down to 20 microns. Champ makes a HUGE amount of the filters out there including quite a few OEMs . You can get them from Rockauto delivered dirt cheap and if your changing your filter with your oil...

    Hemi tick solved?

I bought my '24 Bighorn 2500 w/6.4 Hemi "new" from a dealer in Ohio, it had 1500 miles on it. Since I didn't know how those miles were put on I changed the oil and filter as soon as I got it home in Western New York. I'm running Pennzoil 0w-40 with Champ XL filters and changing every 2000 miles...

Just did my first change @ 2331 miles on my 2500 with PUP and Champ filter. ( I would have done it at 500 miles had I gotten the truck sooner) . I'll change it out with filter every couple of thousand and have the oil analysis done until I 'm confident the breakin is done.then every 4k with...

In fact Super tech is rated API SP , most brand name oils in that Viscosity are only rated SN. BTW. If anyone cares the SRT filters only carry a 61 rating for filtration. That means they'll filter down to 27 microns at 98%. The cheaper Champ XL filters down to 20 microns at 99% . Both good...

You might want to see The Motor Oil Geek's comparison of oils before you knock Supertech .Both that and NAPA brands did better than some of your " quality" oils!

I don't doubt that driven is a good oil but as frequently as I change it there are quite a few good options out there. Triax is another oil someone mentioned. I'll stick with the regular known brands

    Oil Thread - 6.4 Hemi

Everyone has a right to their opinion. I saw a Video from Alex The Heavy Duty Mechanic who's up north in Canada saying he changed his oil every 3000 miles with Mobil1 and Wix filters in his 6.4 hemi. I'm in Western New York. I've been using the Champ XL filters for a while now on my 09 TRX4. I...

Champion laboratories makes a lot of OEM and other brand filters. If you go to Rock Auto's website and look up the XL version of their filters they are for synthetic oil and run less than $5. I think the 6.4 HEMI filter ( PH48XL) is $3.85.

    Oil Thread - 6.4 Hemi

I see this is an older thread but I saw an interesting video with Lake Speed who's probably the most respected oil expert on YouTube. He mentioned that 0w40 is one of two grades that shear out of viscosity the fastest regardless of brand. Since Viscosity is the MOST important part of an oil 's...

    Hello from Independence, New York

I also found out that there are missing plugs to cover those holes. I almost didn't accept the truck. Someone had obviously used it because the plastic cover on the tailgate had several good scratches in it and was a bit chewed up. The dealer didn't have the part in stock so he told me they...

    Hello from Independence, New York

Well I just drove back from Bedford Ohio where I went to buy a new 2024 BigHorn 2500 (6.4 HEMI). I t came with a fifth wheel prep package that I didn't care about because of the price. Now I'm going to be buying a mat to cover the 5 holes in the bed, lol. I'm having it undercoated and a spray...
