I did the drill with my '22 and they finally replaced the DPF. The truck now seems to be (dis)-functioning as designed, but I monitor the soot load closely and drive accordingly. I no longer have frequent regens, but it still sucks and it's a poor design. If there was a reliable and affordable...
I just paid $350 bucks for a gawdamm key fob for my Jeep. And the parts guy gave me a 'deal'. I doubt Stellantis or the dealerships will cut off a potential revenue source by actually doing the right thing by providing good customer service.
I just went through a DEF derate about a month ago. I live in far northeast, remote and very rural California. While traveling home from a trip the "Service DEF System, See Dealer" warning came up and gave me 91 miles before derate. My closest dealership, which is my dealer, was 110 miles away...
I have been getting an occasional loud buzz/electronic hum through the speakers of my 22 Ram on startup. I will shut it all down and restart, and it functions normally until I shut it down. After turning the engine off the radio would shut down when I opened the door, but now it stays on until...
According to an attorney I have recently become acquainted with Stellantis is gushing cash over many of these trucks as well. Not a huge hit in and of itself, but losing that loyal customer base will be a huge hit. I am in a modest income bracket, but have purchased 7 new Rams and 3 new Jeep...
I think they have an overabundance of European arrogance and hubris. That has never played well with we Yanks. Our Declaration of Independence spells that out nicely.
There's every indication that Stellantis is cratering. But hey, their latest creation is an extended range EV truck with a Pentastar ICE that recharges the batteries as you drive ( https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a39038431/ram-1500-ev-truck-range-extender-report/ ). Lee Iacocca is rolling in...
Okay, here's a new twist. Yesterday the EVIC soot gauge gets into the 30% range we're all familiar with so I take on my usual passive regen trip. I'm at about 20 hrs since the last timed one so I figure things are more or less normal, at least for this piece of junk. I have noticed passive...
My guy has said the same thing. I should know soon about the legal remedy I'm pursuing, but if I keep it it will immediately be unburdened by what has been...
The Archoil does seem to improve at least the regen problem a little. Between a transfer tank full of fuel and steel lumber rack I'm carrying an extra 1000# so I might not notice the throttle response.
Spot on. The likelihood of me buying a new Ram ever again is rapidly waning. And I've been buying a new one every 4 - 5 years for the past 28 years. Stellantis and unscrupulous, careless dealerships have destroyed the brand.
After DPF replacement mine functioned much like yours. For about 4 months. The regen issue is getting cranky again with a couple of low mileage interval soot based regens recently. I'm still getting passive regens, but they're taking longer and I have to work the truck harder. I run 295/70/18...
