I wish that Baja Boss AT wasn’t so heavy. In 275/70R18 size it’s 66 pounds vs most other brands being like mid 50 pounds and at least one that is just 50 pounds (Firestone’s Destination XT).
I think I would first try:
- Lower tire pressure: front 45 psi and rear 40 psi
- disconnect your front sway bar
- depending on your mileage replace your shocks
Then try it, but it is a HD truck and won’t ride like Cadillac.

I really like my 2020 Ram 6.4 with 4.10 gears. It’s right at 95k miles and I’ve replaced the battery and the thermostat otherwise it’s just been basic maintenance.
I have wondered about getting a power wagon rear axle and swapping it into my truck to have both a LSD and a full locker, but it seems to be more of a want than a need.

You might have to build a dog house to set the engine back farther.

I tried the manual flood start sequence and it worked.
Thanks I hadn’t heard of that before and it seems like a great idea for really cold weather starts.
I just looked at mine earlier in January when I changed oil. It’s above the starter and you have to remove the heat shield (2 bolts) to see the hole where the heater goes in (it’s not internal to the coolant system).
The Firestone Destinations are one of the tires I am really interested in when I replace my tires in the fall.
The thing that I noticed about them is the sipes are full depth. I have a picture of a well worn one that still has sipes so it should still have good traction.
