It's a toy hauler 432 Fusion, and with the side-by-side, it's around 20k. Not 20k empty. I mentioned that this was my 3rd Cummins; this is my 4th, and the two with the 68RFE never shifted at redline. I was just assuming it's the new 8-speed. It just doesn't make any sense to do that sense after...
Its been doing that since new, mainly from 3rd to 4th. Itll hold 1st gear to redline at times too. This is my 3rd ram cummins one was the g56 and the other 2 were the 68rfe. I tow heavy, my fifth wheel is a little over 20k and my gooseneck is heavy with equipment on it. I dont hammer it, no need...
Thank you for the help. I sent the picture to service manager and he didnt mention the above. Shows how much they know. He wants me to take it in for them to look at it and said its not normal. I will show him this bulletin
Before changing the filters, it would start instantly; after changing the fuel filters and priming, it would take several seconds/revolutions before starting three to four times as many as before the filter change. After driving it today and stopping/starting several times the problem is gone.
I just changed my fuel filters on my 2025 and I primed it 5 times before trying to start. After that it started just fine. The next morning it turned over several times before starting. Idk what the issue is. No fuel leaks that I can see. I did use Fleetguard filters which is what I've used in...
I have a 2020 2500 Cummins with 73k miles on it and at 10k miles I will be a quart low. Been like that since new. I just add little and keep trucking. My truck did go on a emissions diet along with the ccv, but was the same way even before the diet.
Update, my truck had the whine coming from the driver side under a load around 16-18psi of boost. I found that the boot that connects to the intake manifold wasn't properly tightened/sealed. After adjusting and tightening the clamp, the whine noise is completely gone.
I had my CP4 fuel pump recall done today and after picking the truck up, it runs great and I believe has a quieter idle. My truck is tuned and missing some parts and I was told by the diesel tech it did not need a flash( and he did not reflash my pcm) after the new cp3.3 pump was installed...
Good deal, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you don't accelerate more than 50% for 25 miles or so after you install the tune and best to do that in the city to shift thru all the gears as much as possible. It's for the transmission to relearn.
I recommend trying calibrated power, customer services has been great and the tunes are great also. I've been using them for sometime now in my 2020 2500 and it made a world of difference. I've been thru all the tunes besides the race tune, the street tune was fun. I just don't trust my foot and...
