My truck only has 1500 miles on it (3500 DRW) and I’ve already replaced the rear shocks with some Fox 2.0’s. Money well spent (though I shouldn’t have to) in my opinion. I’m pretty confident they can’t have more than $10-$20 manufacturing cost in those rear shocks.
You guys give me some feedback here. Everyone complains about the horn honk when leaving the truck running…….BUT why must you keep the keys in your pocket?? Anytime I get in any vehicle (with push button) the keys get tossed in the cup holder or the console area somewhere. Why do you feel that...
Melbatoast got detailed today. Inside and out. I even waxed it (with spray wax). Thuren/Fox level kit is here. I just haven’t had the motivation to start wrenching on it yet. I have a feeling those new springs are gonna be tough to get in the buckets. So far I’m really lovin this truck.
Just wanted to update this. They called me this morning. Had a new set of wheels from the local Dodge dealership ready for me to pick up. I took the truck to a different shop and they paid for the change out and mount/balance. This ended up a lot better than I anticipated. I’ll never go back...
What a day….. truck has less than 1000 miles on it. Today the tire shop f**ked up every one of my wheels. I took it in to have some Toyo 255/80’s installed. They scratched up and cut deep gouges into every wheel. All the way around. After taking over 3hrs to mount and balance because they said...
I’m not disagreeing with you as far as if it’s truly “needed”, but I’ve been hooking up gooseneck horse trailers since I was a little kid and I can tell you that it is definitely easier with a decent cargo camera….especially when you are always by yourself. None of this in and out of the truck...
It looks like this is correct part # for the 3rd brake light with the camera built in. So when I take out the current one and plug this one in, I wonder what else I’m gonna need to do?
I was hoping this was an easy fix and someone would offer up a simple solution (maybe I’m lazy?) without me having to dig in and start researching. Thus taking me down endless rabbit holes. We need to add a 3rd brake light mounted camera with high resolution. This can’t be that damn hard. And it...
I can remember hooking up gooseneck horse trailers as a kid without one, and we did fine, but I’m pretty dependent on them now. Sure makes it easy when you are by yourself. I’ll have to find a solution to this. Regardless of how good the video resolution is.
My ‘22 Longhorn mega cab. Also my first Ram. Been driving Powerstrokes since 2004 and I’ve had 7 of them in that time frame. So far, I’m loving this one. The interior is beautiful. Just had the tint done. Level, shocks, and tires are on the way.
Ordered the following:
Thuren 2.25” springs
Fox 2.0 shocks x 4
Toyo Open Country AT III in 255/80/17
B&W 2 ball 7” drop stow away hitch
Bulletpoint phone mount
WeatherTech HP mats
That was a chunk $$$. Hopefully I can sell these stock tires and recoup some money. They only have 900 miles on them.
