So i received the Auxbeam 8 switch unit yesterday and it is going to work out very nicely. I am going to "borrow" that idea above of mounting in space between the light controls and the sunroof lip. Instead of a 3D printed solution, I am going to use some thin Kydex that I will bend to hook into...
I don't want to call the Rubigrid mounting system an epiphany moment, more like a revelation. And you don't have to do anything weird with all that limited but really nice dash material.
I just received a third ball with a short arm for the Voyager display for the wireless camera that...
I appreciate you noting that, but is that solution worth 3X the high end Auxbeam, whose install would be far less painful.
I am not moved away from trying to integrate into the truck's system, even if the harnesses are there. Now trying to figure out there to mount an Auxbeam control panel...

Born in the Bronx, raised in Yonkers, a decade in NJ, 20 years in CT and FL full time for 8 years after 25 years of seasonal visits.
Jersey drivers are the worst generally IMLTHO. YMMV.
I assume also it was in loading. I know it was loaded at least twice, at the start and somewhere in between to get another vehicle off. Possibly three times.
If he was moving very slowly and realized he made contact with the cable, perhaps the outer shell was cracked and indented, but not...
You seem to have missed the point that this is a CSIesque exercise in discovering if there are additional cable marks on the piece jammed inside.
Driver claims it is “impossible” that his truck did this, using that term at least three times. Yet when I brought up the ramp cable (thank you guys...
That won’t work in my new Limited, too much going up there I think. Etsy shows some 3D printer versions that seem to bite into the front lip of the sunroof and tuck in under the leading edge of the overhead panel. $25 but not the most elegant design.
Thanks, will check that out. I am all for avoiding brain damage, given how damaged mine is already.
Where do folks mount the Auxbeam control panel? Any threads showing smart installs?
I will try to pull those pieces out tomorrow. Will wrap needlenose with masking tape to ensure the removal process does not score (sp?) the plastic.
Driver says he has had one insurance claim in 10 years which I find remarkable for someone who moves dozens of cars a week up and down the...
I don't know, at this point I am leaning toward AuxBeam panel but I am not crazy.
Mopar sells the switch panel and PDC for trucks without. That open square below is for the trailer brake squeeze switches.
Amazon sells a wiring kit for the switches.
Apologies about posting the "wrong"...
So the local dealer won't touch it and will not submit a warranty claim for "what is clearly physical damage".
I spoke with a service rep, service manager and two techs who all make the case that there isn’t enough torque in the folding motor to break plastic like that if the plastic was not...
No offense taken and no issue with that sidebar. I posted the photo showing the Bulletpoint grid system so fair question.
Over 20+ years, multiple vehicles and everything from flip phones to palm pilots to six vintages of iPhones, I have used every imaginable vehicle mount. Dash mounted magnet...
Some people jump into the middle of threads, without benefit of reading the long OP, and assume they know what is being discussed. I have no problem with that.
But when I might have said I will take any cheat I can get, after admitting to having some towing experience, someone suggesting 6:00...
