Yes! It's in those instructions for doing a parked regen, it is the step that says "DPF Replacement" in Alfaobd, that clears any codes and the timers.
Then you should do the MAF relearn procedure, AGAIN, TO THE LETTER!
Or you can drive it for a long time, it will eventually "relearn".
Ah, this might be your issue. I also see you can put in a new DPF yourself. I have no idea how much those are, but you'll save money installing a new DPF yourself.
Good luck!
Where we spend our summers, in Libby, Montana, a very small town, everything is very close. That I was doing to many short drives, is not in question to me. It got away from me. But I was already having shortened regen issues, the short driving was the final straw. In the year long effort of...
Yes, do the MAF relearn in-between regens.
IF your DPF is face plugged as mine was, nothing is going to fix it. Consider having the DPF bore scoped. It takes a very small, and expensive, borescope to get in there. It is what if is, if face plugged, get if fixed. Look around, sometimes people...
So did you do a stationary regen/desoot with alfaobd?
I did this procedure right after a regen. I was at about 41%. I did this procedure to the letter and had good results. By the second run, my soot was up to 42% and stopped. The third run stayed at 42%. I have 550 miles so far on my interval...
Don't forget the grid heater delete. I just bought a banks grid heater delete upgrade to get rid of that crap. I know a person that had that nut come off, cost him some big bucks.
I can only comment on what I used. I used a phone, it works fine. I have a drawer full of Android phones.....
When I ordered the bypass, they sent me both items, the "bridge" little square plastic thing that goes behind the cluster (a pita) and the cable behind the headlight switch. The latter...
Lucky you, I wrote up the procedure while it was fresh in my mind, more for me, in case I ever needed to do the stationary regen again.
I'll attach it here as a pdf, good luck. It worked for me, but it is kind of finicky.
Ok, give me the day, I need to remember what I did, it was a year ago. As long as the computer is calling for a regen, we can get it going.
For starters, No DTC,s can be present. Feet off the brakes but to start, parking brake must be set, don't do this in tall dry grass, fire hazard.
I'll...
First off, do you have any other codes?
Option one (the best) is take it to the dealer. You have a 2023 correct? Is your warranty still good? If so, Ram needs to deal with this. Unless you have a heavy trailer to tow, I had the "100% full" issue two years ago going up a steep pass, but on the...
I just went through this with my 2021 Ram 2500 6.7 L with around 76,000 miles, the DPF was corked. It cost me $2500 for a new DPF installed near Sandpoint, Idaho. That is when I found out that my Mopar Extended Warranty DID NOT cover my DPF. For that year, it is 5 years/50k miles.
I bought the Mopar extended warranty for my '21, good for 7 years/100000 miles. Covers everything BUT the DPF. That was a "meh" moment.
But now the newer trucks come with a much better warranty for the DPF. Supposedly my new DPF is a better improved part. I will see next month when we hook up...
That sounds normal, my soot level goes up and down too. Longer hills or driving 65-70 mph it will drop my soot, that is normal. Hills and steady freeway driving helps. When the engine is cold, it always shows a low % that builds up to where it was the day before. When the DPF clears on its own...
I guess I won't respond with my phone anymore!
Anyway, see the picture. The "Normalized trigger for DPF Regen" is the one to watch, plus the EGT,s are handy too. 650 F and up the DPF will start to clear out. EGT 2 and 3 are on both ends of the DPF.
