I use Valvoline Premium Blue 5w40 synthetic and Fleetguard Stratapore oil filters for mine.

I’m blessed to have a place 10 minutes from me that rents you a bay with a lift for about $35 an hour with access to air lines and other shop tools. It’s made a big difference in maintaining my vehicles.

In that you are correct. To each their own. For me unless I was trying to push an extended interval or towing right at the upward limit of the truck or running a crazy tune on it I don't see it for signature series. Now the OE I might try next year just to see the difference with testing but tbh...

NAPA has VPB for $23.00 a gallon. For once a year and 8500 miles there isn't any use for Amsoil in this application. Now for my sons Altimas that are in stop and go traffic and the wifes Volvo in the same Amsoil is all they get.

I usually use amsoil for all my other vehicles I have the PC discount. Just couldn’t justify the signature series with the short mileage and yearly oil change. Did a lot of homework and settled on the premium blue as my fill of choice. 5w40 cause it’s NJ;)

I didn’t even know Amsoil offered testing, you learn something new everyday. I’ll look into Polaris as I represent 375 Cummins techs including the parts guys. I may go with speeddiagnostix because I’m only going to be doing it once a year so the economics aren’t that bad.

What’s your thoughts on speeddiagnostix?

Did an oil change along with all my filters. Looked at the boat in shrinkwrap and want March to hurry up and get here!:)

So just did my oil change, fuel filters, cabin air filter, and air filter. She had 8,523 miles on her since it was changed by the dealership on 12/13/24 who sold it to me and 84,212 miles on the odometer. Used Valvoline Premium Blue Synthetic 5w40 and all Fleetguard filters except for the cabin...

It’s not that bad. The fuse box cover was never watertight to begin with. Two self tapping screws going into a countersunk bracket are going to have a pretty tight seal against anything but a pressure washer and guess what if your spraying your fuse box with that water is going to intrude...

Too late I just sent it. There is a dead zone inside the box with no fuses or relays I measured it out on the lid and mounted it. No issues as the box isn’t sealed water tight anyway and the mount has the screw heads countersunk. With the screws in there is still almost 2 1/2 inches from the...

So question if I use self tapping screws to mount to the top of fuse box is that an issue if they clear everything inside? The NOCO 12v 2a only comes with a screw on mount with self tappers.

Just as an update. 2025 in southern NJ most dealerships are quoting right around $600-700 to do both fuel filters.
