I haven't put a ton of miles on my truck since the flash, but it hasn't come back since. I can't find any details on what the TSB changed, but given how many trucks had this happen at the same time, I have a feeling it's bad code that is triggering based on the number of hours the ECU has been...
You should probably ask them to apply the latest ECU update before they rip your truck apart. I just went and pulled the info off my receipt.
The TSBs were:
18-010-21
18-18-04-ME
I don't know if there was an official recall, but this is apparently a known issue. I had it last week and the dealer said it was a quick ECU flash. Told me the week before they had 20 trucks in with the same issue.
I haven't had a problem since.
Ugh, thank you! The second I read that I could picture it - I always forget the stupid hazard light is above the screen (and now know the traction control is right next to it) and must have been looking right at it a dozen times.
I feel a bit silly asking this but I have searched high and low and come up empty. I've got a '19 limited 3500, and for the life of me I cannot figure out where to disable traction control. The manual indicates either a switch on the console (mine doesn't have it, my switches are exhaust...
This was indeed the mounting plate, thanks! Ironically it was just the plate, no screws included, but I'm sure I can find screws that will work at the hardware store.
Just had this applied, truck is running fine. I didn't necessarily have an issue before, but the one thing I noticed is that my 2-3 or 3-4 (forget which one) shift no longer chirps which I think is/was pretty common on the HO/Aisin.
I'd take the money from the undercoating and put it towards an unlimited car wash membership. The only way you're going to save your truck from salt is to get it off as soon as you can, no coating will stand up to it over the long-haul. I ran my old truck through 3-4 times a week and it's held...
Are you looking to add aftermarket wheels and want a second set of sensors or am I misunderstanding what you're trying to do? If you're just doing aftermarket wheels - you shouldn't have to activate anything. On my truck it just picked up the new sensors after driving it for ~5 minutes. Mine...
So we've had a case escalated with Ram for about 2 weeks now trying to figure out the part number for the mounting plate and have apparently stumped everyone in the organization. It's somewhere between humorous and sad that NOBODY can figure out what the part is. Any chance someone with the...
Yes, other have done this and the harness will plug right in, that being said the wires from in the cab to the PDC do not exist. I believe someone stated that the harness from the switches connects to a harness under the knee panel that needs to be retrofitted with the wiring into the PDC. I...
