Mine got a reman long block. Still had some noise present. That's when they threw in the towel and the tsb was released. Doesn't matter wat engine they throw at it. If they cant figure out a root cause and keep building engines the same way the issue will still be present.
For everyone saying the noise “is normal” Ram didn’t think so. At just over 12k miles. They threw rockers, push rods, cam, lifters, oil filter mounting head, oh and an entire reman engine at mine. Then the buy back occurred.
After towing a 10k lb camper with my 1500 ram and a curt hitch for 25 miles I bought the Hensley. It’s definitely expensive. Worth every penny. I had over 15k miles towing my cougar 32rli all over the east coast. Never had any white knuckle moments. Plus I really enjoyed not having to deal with...
My noise was super pronounced in park with quick jabs at the throttle to about 1500-1700rpm especially on decel. My buddies 2024 2500 was consistent with the rpms bumped up using the cruise control buttons in park.
19-20 trucks had that issue. I’m pretty sure the regional reps ram & cummins sent out think mine wasn’t an ac compressor noise. Or they are just taking an odd path to check it.
