Safe travels and good luck. I put Michelins on every other vehicle I've owned without any problems, and I'm hoping my (our) experience was unique. I don't trailer much, so I went with Nitto Recons and very happy now.

By any chance were they Michelin Agilis Crossclimates? I just got rid of a set of those, worst tire I've ever owned. They would not balance and the traction was frighteningly inadequate. I did not experience the "driving on eggs" feeling but there were shimmy's and shakes that varied with speed...

Wow, they do make nice stuff, thanks for the tip! They're only about 2.5 hours from me but....that's gonna be an expensive trip, lol.

Based on what I've read, there is no direct fit replacement sub. I did see somewhere that a guy had built a rather elaborate custom enclosure for his (quad cab?) where it fi in the existing space in the floor. I think he used a 10" JL and seemed happy with the results but I'm definitely not good...

Interested to read about your build and the results. I just put a set of 3 Hertz DCX 87.3's in the dash of my '21 MegaCab w/HK system and it sounded pretty bad, even after I disabled the ANC mics. Interestingly, it sounded better a couple days later but I'm convinced I need to pull signal before...
