restored my bcm to factory defaults and only made the necessary changes unrelated to DASM. Car was fine. Then all I did was enable the DASM on the PT Chassis Net and immediately got the vehicle configuration mismatch dtc. So without changing anything else, just enabling the DASM I get the error...
No luck. No change.
Made the following changes in AlfaOBD:
VehConfig 2: Cruise Control Present - NO
VehConfig 7: Type of adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system present - ACC with stop
VehConfig 7: Full Speed Range Forward Collision Warning Plus System - YES
CustSetMenu 1: Forward Collision...
Austin TX. It’s a brand new DASM. Suppose it could be an issue….
Ideally we need a list of parts and years that worked and didn’t. Maybe older trucks are ok. I have no clue. Just know that no matter what my truck isn’t happy with ACC enabled. Disable it and auto headlights works, so the DASM is...
A lot of 1500s got it to work. And I think a few HDs, but early implementations. I feel like something changed by RAM to block us as there is no reason my install shouldn’t work. I have the factory software and can do it all from home. The hardware just doesn’t take the configuration though...
Not trying to start or continue a thing. Just using terms found in the manual so when others research this project they may be able to find things easier.
The hardest part of adding the 2nd alternator (aka generator) looks to be the need for upgrading the Crankshaft Damper/Pulley. Looked into it on my '22 Hemi and it needs the new crankshaft damper to accept the new belt that drives the 2nd alternator. The rest of the install seems easy enough...
I’d guess somewhere in the techs process he got the error I get: vehicle configuration mismatch. A techs response would be to restore the configuration from factory and you would lose everything you have ever configured in AlfaOBD including the enablement of the DASM to which he would then not...
I think what you are describing is actually a different feature. Not sure how it got enabled or what but it’s for increasing rpm’s when using a winch and other electronics I believe. Not sure the details. @Jimmy07 will know what it’s called I’m sure.
I don’t think changing the buttons will do...
You also need to enable the DASM for auto high beams to work. I disabled everything like you including auto high beams so I don’t have any errors in the ECU to cause concern at dealership. But you can enable the DASM and leave the acc stuff off and keep auto high beams. May just have a vehicle...
I give up (again). I’ve spent hours today changing various settings, matched the ones provided above and no matter what, I get the Vehicle Configuration Mismatch. Documentation says Enter Plant Mode is what relearns the configuration that’s broadcast on the canbus. So have to assume that the...
