I am curious if you happened across wiring diagrams in the shop manuals? One of my annoyances is the fact that the GD opener works with the power off. I'd like to move it to an ignition-controlled power source but need to know which wire it is under the dash.

Depends on your level of DIYness. I installed my sidejack. You can definitely buy a homelink enabled opener. There were even some specials for Prime Day.

I believe with the iPhone 11, most new ones. At least my last 2 Samsung's have had it.

I believe that still requires being connected via USB to CarPlay. I tried the button with Uconnect but it doesn't trip the Google Assistant or let you do anything other than predefined messages.
