I only use 5w-40 with being in Wisconsin. Block heater I usually plug in when it is negative temperatures but forgot and didn't last night. I did just change out my batteries to AGM's since my original ones started being weak in December and had to jump it once in the mid-December cold snap...
The one that confuses me is in the super cold like below 0F the truck will start and then within a minute go to high idle. I would have through you want the fluids to come up a little bit before going straight to high idle from cold siting overnight in subzero conditions. I do not think my...
The correct way to measure how good a filter is through the Filter's Beta Rating and the fluid contamination level according to ISO 4406 which is expressed as a 3 digit number such as 18/15/12. Beta rating is essentially how efficient the filter is as removing contaminants of a certain size...
My 2020's original batteries gave up and I got the dreaded click Sunday AM. It was about -10F outside overnight and it had sat in same spot for about 36 hours. I put charger on it for about 15 minutes and she started right up at 0F. Time to put some AGMS in there.
I agree it should be, maybe mine doesn't work quite right. In the cold there is some heat that comes out when the coolant is cold but when it gets to around 115F and in auto the fan really cranks the speed up and way more heat comes out.
are you talking about the Seat and steering wheel heaters or the cabin heater? The cabin heater will not start to really work and pump out hot air until the coolant gets to around 115-120f. Most Lilley what you are seeing is the coolant is not up to temperature so it will not be pumping out a...
I noticed this little tidbit in your post and wonder what the difference is between the Previous year trucks and the 2025+. If it is improved flow rate similar to the Fleece powerflow lift pump it could be a good OEM option for guys that do not want to do a sump or draw straw but push more fuel...
This is actually a pretty big deal, I have experienced it first hand on a snowmobiling trip this past winter. Was super cold and had tank about 3/4 full of DEF, def froze for a couple of days then it got warmer out to thaw it out and got passed the 39 degree mark to allow the faults to set...
your FOB may be low on batteries. Try pushing the start button with the FOB or leaving it near the start button for a few seconds before pressing it with the FOB. My 2020 has done that and i had to replace the FOB battery.
I have a Titan 50 gallon tank in my truck and there is about 8 gallons of diesel above the top of the fuel level float. I have gone over 2 hours driving freeway without the needle moving and had no faults on mine.
Geno's Garage for filters, Shell Rotella T6 5w40 from Walmart, Oil Filter cap off tool for genos, Drain pan, some basic tools, and 30 minutes of your time. I sincerely hope they did more than just oil filters for $900.
It may be loosing the fuel Prime. Does it take longer to crank if you get it and double press right away to start? Is it quicker if it does a preheat or you do not double press as fast? With the electronic fuel lift pump it may take a second or two to refill the fuel system if it is loosing...
