Are you talking around town or on the highway? I'm a commercial truck driver and while the AC is on, the engine fan will kick on frequently to cool off the condenser, which will in turn cool off the radiator.

Is it a common issue that the fuses aren't seated properly?

Where I live, up to 20" are available in street legal formats and they give off tons of light, so that's where I'd be stopping. Good to know it can be mounted on the bumper. That explains why I haven't been able to find anything exhaust related.
