I don't think Ram has anything to do with it. At least not on purpose. While trying to find out if anyone else has gotten this to work, I have come across stock vehicles with the same or similar issues after having it replaced due to accidents or whatever the case may be.
That is the idle up feature that is enabled by pressing the cruise control button while in park. Then you use the cruise +/- to raise or lower the idle. It helps warm up the truck faster in winter. Pretty sure most of the newer trucks already have this feature auto enabled as I didn't have to...
This is unfortunate. Glad I didn't buy all of the expensive parts. Hopefully someone will get this figured out eventually. I feel bad for the guys that have already swapped the windshield and not gotten this to work. Hopefully everything else they had prior is working at least still.
So what is it about an alignment that could break it? Alignment is required for a new one (As opposed to a used junk yard one) correct? I can't remember but is it used ones or brand new ones failing? Or both?
Sorry, hope it didn't sound like I was calling you out for not responding. I was referring to TXJosh.
You mentioned the Laramies. Mine is a 2020 Laramie 3500. I know that model year did come with the DASM, just not standard. Would that make any difference? Have you had anyone fail with a Laramie?
So is this dead now? Anyone still looking into this to see why it's not working? I bought all the parts except the expensive ones (windshield, DASM). I don't want to spend that money on something that won't work or potentially disable my current functionality.
I've started purchasing the cheaper parts for now. Not ready to buy the big ticket items until I know this is still working. Hopefully we will get more info soon.
