Why not get a harness for a in bed 7 wire plug?
They plug into the factory harness where the bumper 7 wire plug is and then you have all wires in the trailer plug available.

I would hold out for 4.10 gears for more than just the towing. I think it 4.10s work better overall especially if you are driving on 55 mph roads. It keeps the 6.4 in a better RPM range and makes the MDS work better and at lower speeds.
