2022 3500 CCLB HO, Thuren 1.75” front (2.25” on a 2500), Thuren Fox 2.0 all the way around, 37x12.5R18 Falken AT3Ws on Method HD 18x9 +18mm. I added the Fox ATS 2.0 adjustable damper and it made a noticeable difference on road, and significant difference off road. I expect it would make a larger...
Have you towed with it yet? I’m curious how much of a difference the power increase makes when towing, especially with maintaining speed on long grades when loaded heavy. There’s a few hills I pull with my fifth wheel where the throttle is buried for a couple miles at a time.
Mine fails to recognize that TPMS is even configured. Trailer 1 will say TPMS is not configured but switching to trailer 2, then back to 1, will sometimes make it remember that TPMS is configured, and then they’ll pick up shortly after. Once I can get trailer 1 to actually look for the sensors...
I wouldn’t recommend the built in trailer TPMS. Mine has only gotten worse over time and rarely works now. I regret optioning it and should have kept my cheap standalone TPMS system from my old truck.
@RamCares This is a serious issue and needs addressing by RAM. This was an expensive option to...
This thread has more info on the trailer surround system. I don't have it on my truck, just the rear view mirror camera, but there's examples of the install and camera angle in that thread that should help you get an idea of how it works. I've seen them for sale on eBay and Facebook marketplace...
I tow decently heavy and run 37s and it hasn’t been an issue. I cruise in 5th gear and run 4th gear for grades now instead of 6th and 5th stock, but I’ve been able to pull long grades at 70 without losing speed towing my fifth wheel that’s typically 12-15K lbs. I can feel a small loss in power...
I used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to cut a slot in the lower bag mount between the two mounting holes which allowed me to mount the Daystar cradle, and then slid it forward and back within the slot until it was perfectly centered, and then I tightened it down fully to lock it in place...
@RamCares It is not practical to tow my truck and trailer to the dealership and leave it there to troubleshoot this issue when nobody has had luck doing that. This is a repeatable issue that is widespread across 2022s as seen in this thread. This requires an investigation on the RAM side to...
I swapped from the factory 20”/33s to 18”/37s on my 2022 HO and haven’t had any issues with stability towing my toy hauler fifth wheel that’s typically 12-15K loaded with ~3K pin weight.
There was a small reduction in power though by losing about 10% gearing advantage. I now cruise in 5th...
@RamCares I’m having the same issue with my 2022 with trailer TPMS. I almost always have to switch between trailers from the radio screen, then back to the correct trailer, to get the TPMS to come up. Once it’s working it’ll work fine until I turn off the truck and then have to repeat the process.
Did you notice any loss in stability compared to stock? My fifth wheel has about 2500-3000 lbs of pin weight depending on how heavily I’m loaded and I’ve been considering the Thuren rear leaf springs to go with the 1.75” front level. I already have 5000 lb bags and cradles and am looking to...
I’ll try to remember! I’ll be back after Labor Day. If I don’t remember feel free to message me as a reminder. My fifth wheel is a 33’ toy hauler and ranges from 12k to 16k lbs depending on toys/water/fuel and my LBZ struggles fully loaded, especially since it’s lifted on larger tires eating...
After almost 5 months of waiting my salesman called me this morning to let me know my truck is on the lot and ready for pick up! Just in time to break it in before going camping next weekend. We’ll see how the new Cummins HO compares to my old Duramax LBZ pulling my fifth wheel up the steep...
