I’ve been running 6500 every tank since I read it on this forum. It does help I think. These trucks aren’t like the pre DPF you’ve got to keep eye on DPF gauge and get in a good highway drive every once in a while or tow heavy. A friend put his on a diet from factory with standard tune and...
Hate to say it, but depending on where you live I know what way I’d be spending that amount of cash on if the DPF has to be replaced.
Diet with standard tune . Then not worry about DPF again …
Just plug the thing in and run it to the front lower section of bumper. I fitted a socket on lower bumper to save having to join two cables every time. Bought of Amazon really easy to install. If i remember right the OME cable tied along front section below rads going from drivers to passenger...
Thanks again for the replies, the lower section does look easy to install it on. Just have to get it done on days off. Temps starting to drop already up here.
Thanks for the photos. I was hoping to put it on the flat section just above where yours is located. But need to get under truck to see what’s in the way etc
That’s the same one I got. It’s going on stock bumper or valance so just checking there’s not a better place than the one I thought off before I drill .
Thanks for the replies so far guys
I had it , unplug from the socket on wall then catch the tires lol. Thinking the plastic valance were it joins the metal bumper next to front license place might be best place if there’s nothing behind it . Nothing worse than seeing the winter snake on the road on way home from work then...
Has anyone fitted a power socket to the front of their 3500 for easy plug in for block heater.
Got one of Amazon and not really wanting to put on grill in case I drive away with cord in and rip grill off. Where have you guys fitted one.
Thanks in advance
Had one mirror not open after start up and once in a while mirrors don’t close. But only 3-4 times in a year so no point taking it to dealer ship until it’s more persistent as it works 99% fine .
Just fitted 275/65/R20 AT4, see what they are like this winter up in Canada. Friend has them on his 1 ton and said they were fine once you add weight in the rear .
Just ordered a set of Falken Wildpeak AT4W. There winter rated with the 3 peak mountain symbol. Few friends up in Canada run them all year. Good reviews.
